Karan Johar tells everyone to take a ‘Self pity Spa’

Kjo has some really cool advices for his callers on his radio show- Calling Karan on Ishq 104.8 FM. While he has been getting calls round the globe on love and relationships, there was a recent caller who was brave enough to  openly speak up about her abusive relationship. While we talk about our society being liberal and its changing scenario, domestic violence and physical abuse is yet kept under wraps. 

In a recent episode, a caller shared her journey of being in an abusive relationship with her partner which took Karan aback.  KJo who is a confidant of many, clearly advised the caller to not entertain such things and not even sulk about it. He said, “Self-pity is a spa and you can stay in it for 5 days if you like and enjoy it. But one need to pull out of it too. He added that there should always be more support in a relationship than discouragement. 

Trailer launch of “Indian never Again Nirbhaya”

Diva Films productions and Shree Adhikary  & sons presents a film based on the true event of Delhi bus gang rape and murder  “Indian Never again Nirbhaya”.They are going to launch the trailer of the film at  a suburban preview theatre,Mumbai on 24th feb,2018. 

The film is produced by   Bidisha Adhikary and Kanchan Adhikary and directed by Payal Kashyap and K Adhikary. The music is given by Rupesh Verma.The film is starring Riecha Sharma, Bidisha Adhikary, Dinesh K Mehta, Ravi Kumar, Raju Kher, Shailendra Srivastava, Raju Shrestha, Anil Yadav, Gopal K. Singh, Pappu Polister, K. Adhikary, Kamaal Malik, Manish Raj, Rambhai Bharvad, Bablu Sah, Anjali, Mukesh Kumbani, Dr. P G Patel, Jeetendra Jyotishi, R G Patel, S G Patel, Rasti Achariya, Anita Bhat, Vinodbhai Nakum, Soma,Ganesh Gagan, Shyamapada Acharjee, Toshi Kashyap, Ganesh Chaudhary, Chandu, Vishal Singh, Tapesha Nand Mathur, Najjo Fazal, Pawan Kumar Barnwal, Raj Tripathi, Neha, Master Niv and Gehna Vasisth.

The film is based on the Delhi bus gang rape of December, 2012. The film producer   Bidisha Adhikary and Kanchan Adhikary  and director Payal Kashyap and K Adhikary alongwith the leads are present at event .

The producer K Adhikary quoted “the incident held in the capital on December, 2012 had been shuddering to the nation. The films based on such incident motives to highlighten the issue that now in 21st century also girls are not treated the way they should be. This is very shameful act. People who are involved in such type of mindset should have to give a thought. As the film is based on true event it was very difficult to change anything. At the time of shooting it was really hard for us to shoot some of the scenes, everyone was remembering the time when it was actually happening to that girl.”

Award winning documentary ‘Raising The Bar’ premieres in India with a host of b-town supporters

Helmed by National Award winning director, Onir ‘Raising The Bar' is a 70 minute documentary which has won several awards internationally and has just now has its India  premiere last evening in Mumbai, immediately after the screening held in Delhi earlier this week. The film's screening in Mumbai saw an array of faces from the entertainment business who came in support of the film including ace filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani, actors Tanishtha Chaterjee, Shreyas Tapade, Rasika Dugal, Sohail Khan, Sanjay Suri, Nidhi Singh, Isha Talwar and others. Also spotted were Mini Mathur, Parmeet Sethi with wife Archana Puran Singh along wit the director of the documentary, Onir, Mitu Bhowmick Lange, the co-producer of the film and the owner of Mind Blowing Films in Melbourne. The attendees got a chance to meet the special kids with down syndrome who came in for the screening along with their parents.The film is a poignant tale which follows awe-inspiring stories of six young individuals with Down syndrome from two different continents who all meet at the World Down Syndrome Congress in Chennai. This film has been produced by Mitu Bhowmick, Founder, Mind Blowing Films and Cate Sayers of e.motion21. The film premiered to a standing ovation at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne where it was presented by acclaimed actress, Vidya Balan.

Down syndrome is the most common cause of intellectual disability and India has the highest number of babies born with Down syndrome worldwide atalmost 30,000 per year. Raising The Bar breaks stereotypes, telling a tale about love, determination and human spirit, and refusing to accept traditional constraints placed by society. The documentary feature intends to create awareness and emotionally engage its viewers with its universal message of inclusion and diversity, celebrating the differences that make us all unique.
