When Anupam Kher met Danny Boyle in New York!

Indian star Anupam Kher  recently met acclaimed director Danny Boyle of  Slumdog Millionaire, 127 Hours, and Steve Jobs fame recently while the former was shooting in New York for NBC’s next. The seasoned actor has been part of notable Hollywood films and TV shows like Bend It Like Beckham, Speedy Singhs, Silver Linings Playbook, 24, Sense8, A Family Man, The Big Sick, The Indian Detective and Lust, Caution among others and having recently met Robert De Niro , also happened to casually catch up with acclaimed director Danny Boyle. The two share a warm equation and in fact the award winning filmmaker even held a session at Anupam Kher's acting school during his trip to India . Riding high with the distinction of having earned his second nomination at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, after the Oscar-winning, Silver Linings Playbook, Kher is undoubtedly one of the most sought after Indian actors in Hollywood .  While details of the meeting between the two remain unknown, we hope to see them working together soon.

Termination of the agreement by us is valid and legal..Kriarj has committed material breaches which left us with no choice but to terminate in the interest of the film..We would like to state that this extreme step has been taken by us after days of trying to resolve the issues at hand in the best interest of the release of the film. 

We have fulfilled our commitment at every stage of this project and intimated Kriarj in writing from time to time..We have been waiting and asking for payments at every stage..our payments have either been delayed or we have received wrong UTR number. Cheque payments have been stopped time and again. Delay in payments / non-payments, have caused delays in the post production work after the film's principal shoot was completed in time and on schedule last year. 

 Despite repeated follow up, the distribution plan for the film has not been shared and there has been no transparency in their dealings with third parties. We have till date not been privy to any signed contracts of third parties with Kriarj, if any. 

 JA Entertainment has time and again sat on the marketing campaign and the dates have been pushed at least 3 times, thanks to delayed payments. Not only that Kriarj without our approval has gone out and made statements giving false reasons for the delay. 

 Our repeated follow-ups have only been met with false promises to settle the issue, thus wasting crucial time on the project. The industry knows of the track record of kriarj..There has been a similar incident in the past with another film where they have done the same thing. 

Given the above, and in the best interest of the film, we have terminated our contract with KriArj Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. and will soon announce the release schedule. 

any future attempts by Kriarj to jeppardize the film or defame the production house and / or the film, like they have done in the past with other films, will compel us to initiate legal proceedings against them.

Family Time With Kapil Sharma Episode with Abhay Deol and Patralekha!

Sony Entertainment Television’s family game show Family Time With Kapil Sharma, has been creating a lot of buzz since last Sunday. Combining usual suspects like comedy and movie promotions with families battling for a bunch of attractive prizes, tonight’s episode will see beloved comedian and everyone’s favourite host, Kapil Sharma, with Bollywood biggies Abhay Deol and Patralekha.

Family Time with Kapil Sharma will air at 8:00pm tonight on Sony TV and viewers will see how Bumper (Kiku Sharda ) will take a quick test of Abhay and Patralekha by asking them silly questions which they won’t be able to answer. Kapil will be seen pulling Abhay’s leg by revealing some secret facts about Abhay Deol’s clothing. Patralekha will be seen putting her heels aside while playing a fun game with other contestants giving a tough time to Abhay and his team. Anupam Kher offers scholarships to shutterbugs

The best in Bollywood today have had to first turn to Anupam Kher’s acting school, ACTOR PREPARES for their initial training into the craft. Many aspirants who want to find their feet in the entertainment industry harbour the dream of first making it to the thespian’s acting school. Two among them, were the photographers who were clicking photos of Kher, as he was walking out of an airport. A close source says, “The photographers approached the seasoned actor and told him about their wish to enroll in an acting course at his school and the financial constraints they’re facing. Kher immediately spoke his team and offered them a scholarship for a weekend part time course.” Thirteen years since it was founded, ACTOR PREPARES has earned recognition as one of the finest in the country.
