The top 2 Hollywood films now belong to Disney India!

Marvel Studios' Avengers: Infinity War becomes the highest Hollywood grosser in India. With this, the studio now has the nation's top two Hollywood films - Avengers: Infinity War and The Jungle Book to its credit

Over the course of 11 days, Avengers: Infinity War has clocked 192.38 crs NBOC and ( 246.51 cr GBOC) and counting since the movie is still ruling the hearts of fans across the country.

Vinay Pathak & Manoj Pahwa witnessed in Delhi for promotions of upcoming comedy flick 'Khajoor Pe Atke'

The Well-known versatile actors of Bollywood Industry Vinay Pathak & Manoj Pahwa are all set to hit the screens with their upcoming comedy flick 'Khajoor Pe Atke'. As recently, both the actors were witnessed in Nations' Capital for the promotions of their film. Along with them the director Harsh Chhaya and producer Amrit Sethia were also present to grace the event. The entire team seemed highly positive, as they interacted with media peeps in a press conference held in Hotel the Lalit at Barakhamba Avenue. 

As this is the first direction debut of Harsh Chayya, he seemed excited for his film, while talking with media he shared his experiences and stated, “This is my first written & directed film. I have already been an actor but direction is a different world. While working for this film I realised a difference between a director and an actor. I learned how to work with hundred people together. It was really a great experience as we have such a talented cast like Vinay Ji, Manoj Ji and others as well. My experience with the team was simple as we already knew each other since long.” Further he added, Khajoor Pe Atke is a balanced film with a great cast. Now audience will like this film or not, it will be decided after 18th May.”

On the other hand Vinay Pathak said, “This movie is releasing on 18th May. We want all of you to go and watch this film. It’s a small movie, yes we are not promoting in a big way, I am sure this movie will entertain you all. And I am sure you guys will relate your life with Khajoor Pe Atke.” Talking about his experience he added, “I had a great experience of being a part of this family based film. The entire cast was known to us so we had amazing time together. Whereas, adding his views Manoj Pahwa, added, “Yes it’s a family film, which relates with every member of the family and what problem they face together. A serious situation in this film is portrayed in a funny manner. Peple will have fun while watching this film.” 

Well, as per the details revealed Pathak and Pahwa play brothers who land up in Mumbai when they learn about their seriously ill brother. However when the patient neither improves nor passes away, everyone’s life is in a state of flux as they are unable to enjoy being in Mumbai, nor are they able to go back to their lives in their own towns and homes.  But life must go on and so too does the hilarity in their lives continue, because ultimately they are who they are and well, that itself is enough to create chaos. 

'Khajoor Pe Atke' is a comedy around death, a laugh riot written and directed by Harsh Chhaya, who makes his directorial debut. Starring Manoj Pahwa, Vinay Pathak, Dolly Ahluwalia, Seema Pahwa, Sanah Kapoor, Suneeta Sengupta, produced by Welcome Friends Productions, and presented by S.O.I.E., the film hitting cinemas nationwide on 18th May.

Zama Habib’s progressive Nimki Mukhiya celebrates 200 episodes on Star Bharat

It is not always easy for a man to make a television series on women empowerment, in a scenario where most shows are regressive. But when writer-maker Zama Habib of Qissago Telefilms decided to bring to life Nimki Mukhiya on Star Bharat (Monday to Saturday at 8:30 pm), he set the show in the heartlands of Bihar adding to the challenge.

The writer in Zama Habib gave equal importance to every character in the show. Thus, enabling the TRPs to reflect audience appreciation. It is not just that. Nimki Mukhiya has been penned with progressive ink and her character carefully crafted to inspire both the rural and the urban woman, making the show a true trendsetter.

No wonder then that Nimki Mukhiya’s 200th episode celebration saw the entire cast and crew come together and celebrate the victory of the poor but happy girl. Suddenly finding herself as the Mukhiya of the village, albeit with no power, wedded in the loveless family and yet emerging a winner at every step.

“Nimki is a fun-loving, carefree diehard Bollywood fan with a mind of her own. She becomes her village’s first female Mukhiya, is married into a rich family only to realize that it is all a plot of casteism and that she is in a loveless marriage, confined to the outhouse. And her own husband is part of this power plot. How the girl rewrites her own destiny changing the destinies of many others in the process is what Nimki Mukhiya is all about.
