Rannvijay Singha excited for his entry in Viu’s Kaushiki

Viu’s recently launched web series Kaushiki has become the talk of the town lately for its exemplary concept. The storyline revolving around a group of friend is engaging the masses and keeping them glued to the screen. The viewers will be in for some more entertainment as they will get to witness the entry of the talented actor Rannvijay Singha in one of the upcoming episode. 

A source close to the production house informs us about the new developments, “In one of the forthcoming episode of the series, Rannvijay Singha will make his entry as a cop. He will be playing an impactful role of ACP Sumer Singh. His entry will surely mark as a twist in the tale.” 

The actor Rannvijay Singha took it to the social networking site Instagram to express his excitement, “Loved playing ACP Sumer Singh, you guys will get to see me on Kaushiki this Friday, 18th May in the 7th episode! Also I might have a surprise for you all!”

Sonam Kapoor - chief guest at Positive Planet Foundation's Gala dinner at Cannes

Sonam Kapoor created a splash at the Cannes Film Festival , and yesterday attended the Gala dinner hosted by the Positive Planet Foundation , that has led over 500 initiatives all over the world.

The star was the guest of honour at the gala event , which also included a contemporary art auction , orchestrated by Simon De Pury . The proceeds of the auction will go towards Positive Planet's programs for women empowerment in Sub- Saharan Africa , the Middle East & French priority neighbourhoods.

This year also marks the Foundation's 20th anniversary and Sonam Kapoor auctioned a dinner/lunch with the highest bidder.

Says Jacques Attali ,President - Positive Planet Foundation , " Sonam has managed to bring to life colourful and unforgettable characters, all the while remaining an inspiring ,engaged and positive personality herself.We are truly honored to have her as our guest of honor as we hope to meet our goal to alleviate female poverty"

Richa Chadha set to take to the stage again

Being an ardent lover of the art of acting, it’s no surprise that Richa Chadha never ceases to surprise us with her performances par excellence. Definitely the one with a bundle of talent on screen, Richa has had a rich learning experience before she became a film actress. Having trained under the guidance of Barry John, Richa has also been a successful theatre face and till date when time allows, the actress goes back to the stage as reminiscence to where it all started from.

Just two years ago the actress became the female Bollywood actress to have had the honour of performing one of the most popular plays across the world, White Rabbit Red Rabbit, and now she’s all set to make a special appearance soon we hear on stage.

In a play called The Life in Telling, produced by Quasar Thakore Padamsee’s QTP Productions, Richa is set to do a special two show only play with names likes Vinay Pathak and Ashwin Musharan. The play will run two shows each in Mumbai and Delhi end of this month. It comprises of three stories in which Richa will be seen portraying different characters. Richa has managed to squeeze in time between her manic shoot schedules, as she recently wrapped up Anubhav Sinha’s political satire, Abhi Toh Party Shuru Hui Hai and will soon begin shooting for Shakeela biopic and Section 375 with Akshaye Khanna. When asked about going back to the stage, Richa said, “Theatre is an actor’s medium and I love being able to perform on stage whenever I get a chance. When I moved to Bombay, I participated in Thespo and ended up getting to know Q and his company. I am delighted to work with Vinay Pathak again as well.”

The makers of Harsh Chhaya’s directorial debut ‘Khajoor Pe Atke’ revealed their latest song ‘Duniya’ and we bet that this number will have you laughing till your sides hurt.

The song features behind the scenes footage of the film shoot and offers viewers a glimpse of the funny things that occurred during the shooting of the film. Needless to say, it is a sheer delight to watch the actors having a fun time laughing and having the time of their lives while working on the film. The number has been composed by Bickram Ghosh, penned by Kumar and crooned by Divya Kumar and Ujjaini Mukherjee.

Boasting of an ensemble cast comprising Manoj Pahwa, Vinay Pathak, Seema Pahwa, Dolly Ahluwalia, Sanah Kapoor, Suneeta Sengupta, Prathmesh Parab and others, ‘Khajoor Pe Atke’ is a family entertainer about how various members of a family react on getting to know about a family member’s imminent death.
