Amyra Dastur joins Kangana and Rajkummar for Mental Hai Kya

The young actress Amyra Dastur after making her impact in the south film industry is set to impress Bollywood with the announcement of multiple projects this year. Amyra received rave reviews for her performance in Kaalakandi early this year with Saif Ali Khan is now seems to have an interesting line up for films in 2018. Amyra after her impressing debut with Issaq is now geared up working with some of the best names in Bollywood. She already completed the shoot for Leena Yadav's Rajma Chawal where she plays the rebellious love interest of Rishi Kapoor’s on-screen son.

Recently it was announced that she will be playing the love interest of Ali Fazal in the remake of Telugu super hit film Prasthanam, titled as Prasthaanam alongside Sanjay Dutt. Adding one more feather to her hat is now she will be seen in the much awaited psychological thriller film ‘Mental Hai Kya’ starring Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao. The film is being made under Balaji Motion Pictures and produced by Ekta Kapoor & Shailesh Singh and directed by Prakash Kavelamudi. Amyra, who’s a crucial character in the film, has been paired opposite Rajummar Rao romantically. The story was so intriguing that she said yes to the film right away. Amyra has always been a commercial face but has chosen to do different and interesting films, in which the characters she’s played have had grey shades to them. All her three films have been announced back to back this year putting her into the list of busiest actors of Bollywood. Amyra being so young in the industry has hit the nail right in the head by being part of such prestigious projects so early. SONY ENTERTAINMENT TELEVISION LAUNCHES ‘ZINDAGI KE CROSSROADS’

Life is filled with decisions and choices that we make on an everyday basis. Most of these decisions are simple choices whereas some are more difficult than others. However, there are some decisions, once taken, their impact can never be undone and define your character as a person. These decisions are made when you are at cross roads, when your decision gives a direction to your life and alter the course of not just your life but also of those who matter the most to you. Sometimes these Crossroad decisions are on behalf of others but the onus lies on you to take them. How does one take such decisions and come to terms with them? These are the questions that Sony Entertainment Television seeks to ask as well as answers through its latest offering “Zindagi Ke Crossroads”.

Prime time television in India will see a first-of-its kind format, which will show relatable life-altering narratives inspired from the drama of life and before a ‘Crossroad’ decision is taken, it’ll be put forth to the studio audience, which will be a representation of our country in some measure, for deliberation and see what most of us would’ve done. For the viewers, it’ll be a ‘mirror-of-introspection’ and for some an enabler of life in the days to come.

Zindagi Ke Crossroads will present a new narrative every episode and the Crossroads faced by the protagonists will be open for discussion to a unique set of studio audiences. Popular television actor Ram Kapoor will be seen as the host of the show who will not just encourage the audience to share their views but will also delve into the “Whys” of their decision making so as to bring alive the melting pot of opinions in the audience for the narratives showcased. The question thrown open to the audience will be “What would you have done if you were at this Crossroad?”

The show premieres on 6th June and will air every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 8:30PM on the channel.

Produced by Shabinaa Khan, who has been closely associated with the Indian Film Industry, the concept, story and screenplay has been developed by Mahadev, who has been an integral part of Vijendra Prasad’s & SS Rajamouli’s team. Zindagi Ke Crossroads, with its clutter breaking format will encourage viewers to assess themselves, through other’s issues and dilemmas.

Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur reunite at the movies with PIHU

RSVP and Roy Kapur Films to join hands for this path-breaking film - Pihu, directed by national award winner Vinod Kapri, all set to release on 3rd August 2018. 

Known to have backed path breaking and unconventional cinema like - Dev D, A Wednesday, Rang De Basanti and Barfii - in their first innings together at UTV, Ronnie and Siddharth seem to have picked up where they left off from. 

Their first collaboration – PIHU in their new avatars at RSVP and Roy Kapur Films, is a testament to their belief in content-driven films. PIHU, directed by journalist turned filmmaker Vinod Kapri is a first for Indian cinema in every aspect.

Circumstances lead to a 2 year old girl ‘Pihu’ being left alone in an apartment. What ensues, makes for an edge of the seat social thriller, based on a true story which is sure to blow your mind. The fact that it’s the only film in the history of our cinema to have just one character throughout, played by a 2 year old child makes this movie absolutely incredible. Much like they’ve done in past with Lunchbox, Shahid, Khosla ka Ghosla, Udaan and so many others, Ronnie and Siddharth have identified the unique potential in Pihu to break norms of storytelling, push boundaries of narrative and discovered a fresh new directorial voice in Vinod Kapri. 

Pihu was officially selected for prestigious international film festivals which include Vancouver, Palmsprings, Iran, Morocco, Germany. The film went on to win “best film” at Morocco. It was also the opening film at India’s largest - International Film Festival of India, Goa (2017) where it received rave reviews.

Halfa Macha Ke Gaeil: A movie all set to change the scenario of Bhojpuri Industry

Halfa Macha Ke Gaeil is an upcoming Bhojpuri movie directed by Pramashu Singh and produced by Pawan Kumar, Harish Nayar, and Ramesh Nayyar. An upcoming project is a Drama, romantic and comedy movie. As the team of Thea film was witnessed in New Delhi for the promotions. Present at the event was an actor of the film Raghav Nayyar, Choreographer Pappu Khanna and producer Ramesh Kumar. While interacting in a press conference held in CP at PVR Plaza, they revealed about the movie as well as their experiences.

Actor Raghav Nayyar stated, "I had a great experience working for this film. Every artist was supportive on the set. Our entire team worked really hard, this movie is different from other films, after watching people will realize this and I hope we will get an appreciation for our work." On asking about his work for Bollywood Industry, he added, "It really doesn’t matter whether its Bollywood or Bhojpuri Industry, I respect every work and I try to give my best for what I do"

The well-known Choreographer, Pappu Khanna added, "I don't feel like this movie is Debut of Raghav, he handled things so professionally, which shocked me." Panorama Studios to produce a biopic based on the No.1 bestseller, Miles to Run before I Sleep

After the phenomenal success of Raid, father-son producer Kumar Mangat and Abhishek Pathak of Panorama Studios have acquired the rights of the best seller on Amazon India, ‘Miles to Run before I Sleep.’

The book is written by Sumedha Mahajan and is a true story of herself, a married, working woman who undertook an extraordinary journey of running 1500 kms in 30 days from Delhi to Mumbai 

Abhishek Pathak, producer and MD at Panorama Studios, says, "Sumedha Mahajan's inspiring story just goes to show that if one has a strong will nothing is impossible.
