Sony Entertainment Television presents one last opportunity to aspiring singers across the nation to audition for the upcoming Indian Idol via ‘Jump The Queue’ through Sony Liv App. The process is simple - download the Sony Liv app, click on the ‘Jump the Queue’ banner, record your performance video and upload it. The shortlisted contestants will be called for a special audition in Mumbai. This unique opportunity is open for aspirants till 30th May only through Sony Liv App. 

Indian Idol has been one of the most prestigious singing platform for singers and has always presented some of India’s finest voices through the years. With this season’s audition campaign #KhabarPhailaDo, the auditions held in Jaipur, Lucknow, Guwahati, Bhubaneshwar, Dehradun, Chandigarh, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Delhi, Indore and Itanagar saw massive participation by aspiring singers to try their luck and make a mark in the world of music. 

Prominent names from the music industry, Anu Malik, Neha Kakkar and Vishal Dadlani will take on the mantle of judges this season. They took to social media recently to encourage singers to participate in the ‘Jump the Queue’ and get a chance to be a part of the show.

Sony Entertainment Television shifts its prime-time programming line-up

Sony Entertainment Television (SET) which has been entertaining audiences with its distinct shows is shifting the onset of its prime-time weekly programming line-up from 7.30 pm to 7.00 pm. From Monday, 28th May 2018, SET’s original prime time shows will start from 7 pm with ‘Mere Sai’ followed by ‘Vighnaharta Ganesh’ at 7.30 pm and Porus at 8.00 pm. Rishta Likhenge Hum Naya shall air at 9.00 pm as per the earlier schedule, followed by Ek Deewaana Tha at 10:00, Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai at 10:30 pm and Yeh Pyaar Nahi Toh Kya Hai at 11:00 pm from Monday to Friday.

Sony shall continue to entertain viewers with innovative content with an interesting mix of fiction and non-fiction shows.

Sonam Kapoor who is trending across social media platforms, has featured in the pilot episode of Firstpost’s web chat-show Social Media Star, alongside Rega Jha, Buzzfeed India Editor. Show creator and anchor, Janice Sequeira took on the task of decoding what makes these two ladies tick on social media.

When questioned about who they would call for social media advice, Sonam was quick to take Janice’s name and admitted to turning to the show host for advice every time she found herself in a mess. However, it was a hilarious revelation by Sonam that had the ladies burst out in peals of laughter. Sonam said, “One person I shouldn’t call is Swara (Bhaskar) because she encourages me. When I ask her, “Do you think we should do this?” she says, “Obviously! We have our voice and we need to use it, get out there and talk about it.”

Amidst laughter, Sonam said that she then lands into trouble and has to turn to others to clear up the mess. She revealed that her father, superstar Anil Kapoor, also encourages her to speak her mind and is always supportive of her.

Priyanka Chopra visits the Rohingya Refugee camps

It was only last year that UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador Priyanka Chopra visited Jordan to meet with Syrian families, whose lives have been greatly affected by the conflict in the area. 

The international star today landed in Dhaka,Bangladesh after attending the royal wedding in London to visit the Rohingya Refugee camps.

Since 25 August 2017, extreme violence in Rakhine State, Myanmar, has driven an estimated 693,000 Rohingya refugees across the border into Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh. The people and Government of Bangladesh welcomed them with resounding generosity and open borders. 

As part of an initiative by UNICEF , Priyanka makes a four-day field visit to the Rohingya Refugee Camps as part of the Child Alert campaign. As part of a series highlighting the challenges faced by children in current crisis situations, this UNICEF Child Alert focuses on the situation of Rohingya refugee children and their families now suffering harsh conditions in camps in southern Bangladesh after fleeing violence in Myanmar. 

The global icon is living out of her suitcase as she flew to London from New York to attend her friend Meghan Markle's wedding to British Royal Prince Harry. She immediately flew out the next day to Bangladesh to visit the Rohingya Refugee camps,where she will spend the next 4 days interacting with the families there.

Amyra, who’s a crucial character in the film, has been paired opposite Rajummar Rao romantically. The story was so intriguing that she said yes to the film right away. Amyra has always been a commercial face but has chosen to do different and interesting films, in which the characters she’s played have had grey shades to them. All her three films have been announced back to back this year putting her into the list of busiest actors of Bollywood. Amyra being so young in the industry has hit the nail right in the head by being part of such prestigious projects so early.
