Chhavi Mittal got emotional while shooting for Sony TV’s Zindagi Ke Crossroads

Zindagi Ke Crossroads that will soon air on Sony Entertainment Television is all set to showcase relatable life-altering stories, inspired from the drama of life. Each episode will show a new story and before a ‘Crossroad’ decision is taken by the protagonist, it will be put forth to the studio audience for deliberation. This audience is the representation of our country and will highlight what most of us would have done in that situation. Popular television actor Ram Kapoor will be seen as the host of the show who will not just encourage the audience to share their views but will also delve into the “Whys” of their decision making so as to bring alive the melting pot of opinions in the audience for the narratives showcased. With an interesting and never seen before format on weekday primetime, one can only expect to experience the best. 

One such intriguing story is on the topic of ‘Special child’ which will see the beautiful Chhavi Mittal step into the shoes of a mother who will be in a dilemma whether to give birth to a special child or abort the baby. It’s a heart-touching tale which will surely captivate the viewers mind forcing them to think about thousands of such special children in the country. 

Talking about the story Chhavi Mittal said, “I read the scripts and the stories multiple times and if I am 99% sure only then I sign for it. When I first heard the story, I found the character very challenging and something which I haven’t done before, I simply agreed to it. Zindagi Ke Crossroads is a concept which is very unheard and progressive and it’s an honor to be a part of the show. The show is very progressive and I am glad I was a part of it. I shot for the show and it was perfection in the presence of Shabina Khan and direction of Mahadev. I am a mother myself and I could completely relate to the episode that was offered to me. I could totally relate to the character, as I know of mothers who have special childen. In every person’s life there are different levels of crossroads but we always have multiple choices unless and until one takes that final decision.Shooting this episode moved me as a person I will request my fans to please watch this amazing show because it will surely change your thinking.”

Vivek Anand Oberoi relentlessly works for the cause of Tobacco Free for more than 15 years

Actor-philanthropist Vivek Anand Oberoi, who serves as the anti-tobacco spokesperson for World Health Organization and who is also associated with Cancer Patients Aid Association (CPAA) for more than a decade addressed a huge crowd at the press conference on World No Tobacco Day.

The large-hearted actor who has been associated with several noble causes including girl child educaton among others addressed an audience on the consequences of tobacco consumption, urging them to go tobacco free not just at their work stations but as an overall lifestyle alteration.

Riding high on the success of his debut web series, Inside Edge, Vivek has been keeping extremely busy juggling between work commitments including a show by Balaji and one for Zee TV. In spite of his busy schedule, Vivek definitely takes time out to be part of the cause that he truly believes in.

Addressing the crowd, Vivek said, “I’ve been associated with CPAA for more than a decade and it has been a wonderful journey. It has been an incredible journey. I’m grateful to the family of CPAA that they made me part of their family which has changed my life for the better.”

Vighnaharta Ganesh completes a milestone of 200 episodes

The story of the most loved god, ‘Vighnaharta Ganesh’ telecasted by Sony Entertainment Television has won hearts across audiences and has crossed the landmark number of 200 episodes. Produced by Contiloe Pictures Pvt. Ltd. ‘Vighnaharta Ganesh’ is the first Indian television show to use motion capture technology to display a wide number of special effects to highlight a realistic mythological look for the entire ensemble to capture viewer attention. Going forward, from 4th June 2018 onwards, the show will be telecasted at a new timeslot of 7.30 pm every Monday to Friday on Sony Entertainment Television.

Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar set to release on March 1, 2019

Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra starrer Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar is set to release on March 1, 2019. The Dibakar Banerjee thriller will see Arjun play the role of a Haryanvi cop, while Parineeti essays the role of an ambitious girl from the corporate world whose lives suddenly intertwine.

Dibakar says, “I feel this is my first film all over again, at least in terms of the excitement with the material. Sandeep and Pinky bring to screen the two Indias that are forever clashing. I want the audience not to lose a second of that. We finished the shoot one month late because of the intense weather conditions on the Indo-Nepal border. I don't want Sandeep and Pinky to be shortchanged on edit time. YRF agreed with my request and so we are pressing on together to the new date. 2019 is when India chooses its future. I'm looking forward to release in that year and choose mine.”

Rohan Malhotra, VP - Distribution at YRF adds, “Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar will now release on March 1, 2019. Arjun and Parineeti have Namaste England releasing on Dussehra this year and the makers had announced this date a while back. It would have been unfair for us to request them to shift their film. Also, we wanted to have a gap between these two films as it features the same star cast and given the extremely busy release calendar of this year, we feel March 1 is the best date for our movie to open.”
