YRF’s Swag Se Swagat becomes the first Indian song to hit 500 Million Views

Everyone’s partied and shimmied to the blockbuster song ‘Swag Se Swagat’ this year. Now, its cult popularity becomes official. The ultra-popular number from the record-breaking blockbuster ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ has officially become the first song from India to touch the massive milestone of 500 million plus views on YouTube.

Sung magically by Vishal Dadlani and Neha Bhasin, with a supercool video of Salman, Katrina and dancers from across the world swaying to its beats, ‘Swag Se Swagat’ has been setting new records online ever since its release. The song became the Fastest Bollywood Song ever to clock 200 million, 300 million and 400 million views on YouTube, growing in popularity with listeners worldwide rapidly.

With catchy lyrics by Irshad Kamil and peppy beats composed by Vishal and Shekhar; ‘Swag Se Swagat’ speaks up for universal brotherhood, peace and love. The song is choreographed by Vaibhavi Merchant on a picturesque Greek island. The song has over 2 million likes on YouTube making it the most liked Bollywood song on YouTube. As time passes, this record breaking Swag continues to cast it’s spell over listeners and fans over and over again.

Marathi Film backed by Akshay Kumar starring musician Swanand Kirkire heads to Melbourne

Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) currently in its 9th year is set to open its curtains from 10th – 22nd August under the unifying theme of ‘Inclusion’. The multi award-winning festival which is the southern hemisphere's greatest annual celebration of Indian cinema recently announced the details for the upcoming 12-day festival.   Each year the festival promises to offer Australian and Subcontinent audiences the opportunity to explore and engage with the diversity of Indian Cinema in different languages. One of the films IFFM will hold is the screening of the upcoming Marathi film is Chumbak. 

The movie is directed by Sandeep Modi has renowned lyricist Swanand Kirkire in the lead role. It is a story of friendship between a 15-year-old table-cleaning-waiter-boy Baalu and his chance encounter with a 45-year-old mentally slow man Prasanna that forces him to make a choice between his dreams and morality.  Chumbak is the story of these two oddballs and their choices that shall shape their life. The film is presented by superstar Akshay Kumar after being impressed with the movie, in one of the screenings in Mumbai he decided to present this movie. Chumbak is slated to release on July 27 in India and will have its Australian premiere at the festival this year.

Speaking about the premiere, Swanand said, "I am really excited that our film Chumbak is selected in the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne and I am really looking forward for the response of Australian people that how do they receive the film. This is a film about two people, one little boy and an elderly man. This is a film about 14 year old boy and a 45 year old elderly person and this is the film about which path to choose in life, you are always on the cross roads of right and wrong, of choosing what is good for you and what is good for everybody else. I am very happy that a superstar like Akshay Kumar has agreed , I mean he has liked the film so much that he presenting the film now for us in India".

Prassthanam director Deva Katta to direct Baahubali Prequel


Director Deva Katta who is debuting in Bollywoood with Sanjay Dutts Productions' Prassthanam has bagged a huge project with Netflix.

The director whose thriller drama, has gone on floors in June will be co - directing the prequel of Baahubali titled Shivagami along with SS Rajamouli.

Shivgami will be a three season show with a huge budget of 2 million USD per episode.

When asked the director, he confirmed and shared, "The Baahubali series made a huge impact with its unique way of story telling. This prequel promises to amp up the excitement of all the Baahubali fans. I am really honoured to be part of this project and be able to work with Rajamouli sir."bb

YRF’s Shamshera To Release On July 31, 2020


YRF’s action spectacle Shamshera that pits Ranbir Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt in a bloody face off on the big screen is set to release on July 31, 2020. 

Directed by Karan Malhotra, who directed the blockbuster Agneepath, 

Shamshera is a desi, high-octane masala film. 

An edge of the seat adventure, it is set in the heartland of India and will have jaw-dropping action sequences and a never seen before Ranbir Kapoor. 

Sanjay Dutt takes on Ranbir as he plays a ruthless, merciless villain in the film.

Shamshera also stars Vaani Kapoor as a gorgeous temptress and her pairing with Ranbir makes it one of the most freshest jodis on big screen.

The film is set to go on the floors end of this year and shooting will wrap by mid 2019.
