Harshvardhan Kapoor starrer Bhavesh Joshi Superhero screened at the Neuchatel Film Festival

Harshvardhan Kapoor who flew to Switzerland for the Neuchatel Film Festival post a short break to London, recently attended  the special screening of his film Bhavesh Joshi Superhero.

When the film released in India ,the critics and trade were all praise for Harshvardhan Kapoor's performance in the vigilante drama. The actor chose to take the road less traveled and made an unconventional debut with Mirzya ,later proving his versatility by pulling off a heroic role in the superhero entertainer.

Apart from attending the special screening of the film, Harsh also stayed back for 4 days to catch other world cinema offerings.

Says Harshvardhan , “Bhavesh Joshi is an exciting film and a mainstream Hindi film with a good story. It’s for family audience. I have done comedy, romance and action sequences in the film. It’s our version of a commercial film, and has all the elements of a mainstream Hindi movie. I have realised that with the choices I am making, I am probably not going to have as big a following as I would have had, if I did other films. But I am okay because I made that choice. I decided this before I became an actor. I know the quality of work that I am trying to do or at least attempting to do so that I can sleep peacefully at night. I am just interested in being able to do films that I want, but I understand that at the end of the day, it is a business and so, I have to make successful films.”

Anuradha Paudwal honoured at House of Commons

Mother Teresa Award-winner, National Award-winner and four-time Filmfare Award-winner Padmashri Anuradha Paudwal, added another feather in her overcrowded cap recently as she was honoured at the UK Houses of Parliament for not just her outstanding contribution to music, but for her charitable initiatives as well. The function was by the Members of Parliament from the lndo-British All Party Parliamentary Group, Houses of Parliament. Also in attendance were Politicians, Journalists from Asian Radio, TV and print media, together with leading representatives of the Indian Music Industry in the UK.

Anuradha Paudwal, who has to her credit, over 1500 songs in several Indian languages over a period of four and half decades is humility personified when asked about her feelings, “Awards and acknowledgements matter to an artiste. It is the love of the people that goads us to grow at every stage. My felicitation is at a place that is seeped in history, is over 800 years old and is considered the Mother of all Parliaments. I felt blessed with the love of the people, and appreciation from unknown quarters. It is touching to know your efforts have reached corners of the world!

Currently, besides her world tour, where she has travelled to the UK and Australia thus far, and travelling to Sri Lanka and the United States of America next,  Anuradha Paudwal is working on a major devotional project.

When quizzed about her regular activity to support martyrs’ families and lifesaving operations for the underprivileged and the poor, Anuradha is quick to reply, “it is merely my contribution as an individual back to society, something that I do from my heart and generally don’t talk much about."

Incidentally, Anuradha Paudwal is also involved in helping solve issues of malnutrition and electricity in Maharashtra's Nandurbar district as well. Surely something that other celebrities need to follow!

Trailer Of Aditya Datt's Karenjit Kaur: The Untold Story Of Sunny Leone Is Out

Trailer Unveiled: Sunny Leone’s Biopic ‘Karenjit Kaur: The Untold Story Of Sunny Leone’ By Aditya Datt Is Bold, Explosive And Entertaining

A few days ago, the makers of Sunny’s biopic ‘Karenjit Kaur: The Untold Story Of Sunny Leone’ had released the teaser of the series and the trailer of the series was unveiled late last night.

Directed by Aditya Datt, who had helmed the hit thriller ‘Table No.21’, ‘Karenjit Kaur: The Untold Story Of Sunny Leone’ traces Sunny’s journey from a girl-next-door to a Bollywood celebrity and if you thought the teaser was impressive, the trailer is absolutely mind-blowing. ‘Karenjit Kaur: The Untold Story Of Sunny Leone’ is bold, explosive, entertaining and touching at the same time and we can’t wait to watch it as and when it premieres. Shot in Cape Town, the biopic also offers a glimpse of director Aditya Datt’s vision and sensitivity when dealing with a story. It has been generally seen that web series in India lack finesse, but we are sure that Datt’s upcoming venture will surely prove to be an exception as the trailer is quite promising with regards to vision, execution and production values.

Interestingly, Sunny will play herself in the biopic, which is something that no other actor has ever done before (as we saw recently in ‘Sanju’, which had Ranbir Kapoor playing Sanjay Dutt) and we are sure the series will be a treat for her fans.

‘Karenjit Kaur: The Untold Story Of Sunny Leone’ will premiere on Zee5 on July 16.
