Shah Rukh Khan is the reason Sacred Games star Elnaaz Norouzi came to India

Not many are aware that the Iranian-born Elnaaz Norouzi who shot to fame with the recent Netflix series Sacred Games, was actually charmed by Shah Rukh Khan's movies, which became the biggest reason for her to come to India. 

"Iranians love India and Bollywood. But as I grew up, my relationship with Bollywood became more and more special as my mom and I would watch at least one Bollywood film every week," quips Elnaaz. 

"We were crazy about those romantic Shah Rukh Khan films and I fell in love with SRK and wanted to work in Bollywood after that," she reminisces. "Even my dad is a big Bollywood fan, so watching Hindi films became a passion for me. I remember buying loads of Bollywood film DVDs and music albums in my childhood. I knew so many hit songs by heart, even without understanding the lyrics back then." 

Elnaaz's luck shone as she actually landed in India and also got to work with her idol Shah Rukh Khan in two ads -- one of Nerolac and the other of Fair and Handsome. "It was indeed a dream come true," beams the Sacred Games star. 

What's more! By now, the newbie has perfected her Hindi diction too. Elnaaz is proud that she dubbed all her dialogues in Sacred Games, where she featured along with established stars Saif Ali Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Radhika Apte. Directed by Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane, the series is based on Vikram Chandra’s critically-acclaimed novel by the same name. 

A month before the release of the first season of the series, Elnaaz also featured opposite Punjabi heartthrob singer-composer Guru Randhawa in the super successful music video of the single Made In India released by T-Series.

Huma Qureshi & Saqib Saleem walk the ramp together for the first time

The stunning Huma Qureshi has been a fashion showstopper on several occasions , however, her show for designer Anvita Sharma, at the Lakme Fashion Week, promises to be extra special.

Huma will be walking the ramp with her brother , actor Saqib Saleem, for Anvita's brand Two Point Two, a collection that showcases her designs for both men and women.

This will also be the first time Huma & Saqib will be walking together for a fashion show. The two turn showstoppers on the 24th August for

Two Point Two, that classifies as an ‘agender’ brand, which simply means that their designs are for everyone.

Adds Saqib, " I've known Anvita for 10-11 years now since college and infact she is a close friend. Huma and I are really excited to walk for Two Point Two as the brand is all about individuality.The collection this year is really interesting."

Huma said  , " I love Anvita's work . She is truly a unique voice emerging in fashion . I am really looking forward to the show as the brand's silhouettes Colors and details apply to both genders.

Amit Sadh plays ‘Major Tango’ in Applause Entertainment’s Military Drama Series ‘India Strikes-10 Days’

Applause Entertainment, the content studio from the Aditya Birla Group headed by Sameer Nair, is set to bring a gritty, realistic and dramatic recounting of the recent Uri terror attacks onto the web. Keeping to its promise of delivering premium quality shows with relevant topics, they announced India Strikes- 10 Days, a multi- season web series with a talented cast and show runner Samar Khan of Irada Entertainment.

The thrilling web series will be featuring none other than the talented actor Amit Sadh as the lead.  Having made an impact with his performances in films like Gold, Sultan and Kai Po Che, and the web series Breathe for Amazon Prime, Sadh is a very popular and versatile actor. This series is based on the first chapter from Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh’s book “India’s Most Fearless”.

The incident is fresh in the mind of every Indian - Pakistani militants had attacked the Indian Army brigade in Uri, Kashmir on 18th September 2016. Making a marked departure from diplomacy and protest, the Indian government gave a clear message to its neighboring state. Displaying a zero-tolerance approach to terrorism and unprovoked violence, Indian Armed Forces selectively retaliated by attacking terrorist camps across the Line of Control.

The series is being directed by Raj Acharya, who has previously directed The Battle Of Saragarhi on Discovery Jeet, and was also the assistant director on Talaash.

Harmanjit Singha, Sudeep Nigam, Abhishek Chaterjee, Aadhar Khurana are the team of writers who have scripted this ten-part thriller.

India Strikes – 10 Days begins filming soon in Mumbai and Kashmir, and the show is expected to stream early next year. Yami Gautam, who just returned from a rather fun workcation in Hong Kong will soon be seen in the Aditya Dhar directed Uri starring Vicky Kaushal.

The action drama, based on the surgical strikes carried out by the Indian army after the Uri terrorist attack, will see Yami play an intelligence officer aiding Vicky and his band of special officers who carry out the tedious operation in the film, which is a tribute to all the soldiers who have put their country first, without a second thought. Yami felt strongly inclined towards the role because she feels that not only should the soldiers be lauded, but also their families, who show supreme courage and support their family member who work tirelessly in the forces.

“Our jawans do so much for our country, I think its one of the most selfless and courageous deeds in the world. For them this is not just about a job, for them the country is their life and it is not entirely possible without your loving ones supporting you in this. We need to not only thank the defence forces but also their families for their selflessness." the Kaabil actress said.
