Taapsee likes to conceptualize her promotional looks based on her looks in her films

Taapsee Pannu has always had a strong sense of fashion from slaying her vacation goals to wearing the coolest outfits while promoting her films. What many people have not realized is that she does a really cool thing with every film she promotes. The Pink actress chooses a theme for her outfits based on the film she’s promoting.

When Taapsee was promoting Judwaa, she wore outfits that matched her role in the film. They were glamorous and very western. For Soorma, Taapsee chose to wear athletically inspired outfits, to match her character of a hockey player in the Sandeep Singh biopic. The actress chose some amazing khadi and cotton prints for Mulk and wore a lot of sarees and suits that resonated her character, Aarti from the film. Now, she’s rocking some Indian Boho swag with local designs on western cuts and is pairing it with old school  oxidized jewellery for Manmarziyaan. Every character is depicted via these amazingly conceptualized outfits when the Naam Shabana actress is promoting a film because she wants audiences to see her only as the character and nothing else.

When asked about this, the actress said, “We all have so many films releasing every year and as actor it’s a blessing to be able to get versatile characters to perform in every film. I truly consider myself lucky to get an opportunity to not only explore varied genres but also how different characters with every film. While promoting these films I keep in mind my character and genre of the film, I add my personal style to it and my stylist Devki comes up with interesting themes for each film’s promotions. This helps me look forward to promotions in a creative way!”

Namish Taneja quits the gym for Main Maayke Chali Jaungi

Time and again we have read stories about actors hitting the gym to get in shape for a role that they have bagged. When was the last time that you read about an actor who stopped going to the gym because he got selected for a role? Well, Namish Taneja who plays the role of Samar in Main Maayke Chali Jaaungi Tum Dekhte Rahiyo has did the exact same thing! The fitness conscious actor quit going to the gym after taking up the lead role of Samar.

Namish Taneja has done multiple roles on television earlier wherein he has essayed roles of a macho guy who’s stylish and also that of a brat! One thing that stayed common in all the roles was him being a fitness freak. All of that changed after being selected for Main Maayke Chali Jaaungi Tum Dekhte Rahiyo. In order to portray the role of a boy next door, the good-looking hunk stopped working out and also put on some additional weight!

When contacted Namish aka Samar confirmed, “For the role of Samar I had to look like the ideal boy-next-door. Since most Indian married men do not have six pack abs, I too stopped going to the gym! Furthermore, I also gained a little bit of weight. I have always preferred to watch adventure shows and movies. But since the day I got selected to play this role, I have started watching family-oriented movies to get into character. I have really worked hard and am sure the audiences are going to love Samar on television.”

Tune-in to ‘Main Maayke Chali Jaaungi Tum Dekhte Rahiyo’ at 8:30pm every Monday to Friday only on Sony Entertainment Television!
