Taapsee headed home to surprise dad for his retirement between a packed schedule

Taapsee Pannu is currently basking in the praise, Rumi has been getting in the film Manmarziyaan. A film that has seen many firsts, from it being Anurag Kashyap’s first romantic directorial venture to Taapsee as a full fledged feisty Punjaban. It is a film that people are calling a new aged love and to add to it, the music and everyone's looks from the film seem to be a continued topic of discussion.

Apart from Manmarziyaan, Taapsee has been busy shooting for her upcoming film with Big B directed by Sujoy Ghosh for Badla. She has also been working on brand projects, focusing on her app and prepping for a new film she will begin shooting soon. But even amidst all the work, somethings take most priority and that is Family. Taapsee has always been a family oriented girl. She lives with her sister and never fails to show her fans a glimpse of her family life. The actress' father recently retired after many years of service and his last day was when Taapsee was in between many projects in Mumbai. But that didnt stop the Pink actress to do something for her father. With the help of her sister, the actress planned a surprise party and when her dad least expected, she showed up at the door with a cake and bouquet in hand. What an adorable gesture!!  When asked about it she said, "I had been waiting to see this day when my father would finally retire from decades of work he has been doing. Used to see him go to work driving a scooter and later a car for minimum  2-3 hours everyday. His office always used to be far away from our residence and once I started working I always wanted to see this day he doesn’t need to work anymore and can finally relax and do whatever he wants to in a day with no obligation. Did not want to miss it at any cost so I made sure I take that day off from my schedule to fly down to Delhi for a few hours."

The actress headed back to the film set in a few hours, but even if it was for a little time, she ensure she made dad feel special.

We understand everyone juggles with finding a balance between work and family but we absolutely love the effort Taapsee puts into it to make it work.

Dia Mirza represents the country, voices strong opinion at the Social Good Summit in New York

Actress, producer and ‘champion of nature’ Dia Mirza, who has become a global name owing to her work in the field of environment protection, has been invited to be one of the speakers at the Social Good Summit 2018 at New York on September 23 this year. In her personal and professional life, Dia has always highlighted the cause 'Beat Plastic Pollution' in every way and has used her voice to spread this message far and wide.

Brought up in a family where sustainability has been ingrained in every little act of theirs, Dia has been conditioned right from childhood to embrace an eco-friendly way of living. They also spoke of the need for successful advocacy and campaigns, like the #BeatPollution campaign around World Environment Day in India, to draw awareness to pollution and environmental issues.

A session driven by solutions, Dia continues to be a strong voice for environmental conservation leading change across the world.

Karanvir Bohra Shows Perseverance Like None Other In This Bigg Boss Task

Bigg Boss season 12 introduced the 'Vichitra Jodis' last week & we're already liking the love & hate relationship between the singles & the doubles.

Actor Karanvir Bohra who enjoys a massive popularity & had a star entry in the show remained low key in the first week & acted as a peacemaker when situations inside the house were tense & was seen meditating.

The Saubhagyavati Bhava actor has proven he's a dark horse. Karanvir's performance in the upcoming Samudri Lootere task sparked a rage on social media & also his team members in the show alike.

The task between the singles & doubles will see the singles as sailors on a ship individually protecting a ring while the opposite team collectively tortures with available resources to make them quit the task mid-way.

Karanvir who danced on a classical number for his previous task suffered the wrath by the doubles as pirates in this task who left no stone unturned to torment him while he protected the gold ring. Karanvir kept going strong while his team members, Sreesanth, Dipika Kakar are seen uncomfortable.

The torture went till the extent that one of the pirates, Deepak even asked his team members to not cross the line. The video which has gone viral amongst fans sees Karanvir falling on the floor in the end but yet not giving up!  Now that's perseverance!

Global star Anupam Kher makes waves as DR Vijay Kapoor in his International series New Amsterdam

Anupam Kher, who is currently stationed in the USA for the extensive shoot schedule of his highly-anticipated NBC’s series, New Amsterdam has been making waves globally.

The global star is quite excited about his new show premiering on 25th September which has also received amazing response at the Boston Film Festival 2018.

One of India’s finest actor-author-motivational speaker and educationist Anupam Kher, who has acted in more than 500 films, is set to impress the NRI audience, especially his fans with his latest show ‘New Amsterdam’ and the challenging role of Neurologist Dr Vijay Kapoor in the series.

The BAFTA and the SAG nominee is known to the western audiences for his impressive portrayals in the Golden Globe-nominated ‘Bend It Like Beckham’, Oscar-Nominated ‘Silver Linings Playbook’ and the highly-acclaimed ‘The Big Sick’.

Showtimes Cinema and SBM Studios in Association with Ninjoor Pictures is all set to roll out their ambitious international venture – He Is Back! Produced by Suresh Sharma who last produced the gritty drama Halla Bol and Suresh Babu Malge who also produced many movies and directed by Cheetah Yajnesh Shetty who helmed Hum Tumpe Marte Hain.

He Is Back was launched in Dubai where who's who of the world were present.

The movie was inaugurated with the lamp lighting by Her Royal Excellency Of Thailand Mom Luang Rajadarasri Jayankura , Mr.Kirsan Ilyumzhinov, Former President of the Republic of Kalmykia in the Russian Federation and Prince Firooz Alexander Sefre, Member of the Royal Institute of British Architects Chartered Architect Riba, England.Other eminent guest were Edmond Avakian, Thomas Fung, Fatemah Hossain Zamani and Lazar Jakovljevic.

Inspired by Bruce Lee, the movie revolves around the theme of how a poor boy changes the world!

The film introduces Abb Li in the lead role who happens to be a big worshiper of Bruce Lee. It is learnt that Abb Li is such a loyal follower of Bruce Lee that he has transformed his body also to Bruce Lee style.

The movie also introduces actress Alina Ilyumzhinov in the lead role along with an ensemble cast of Hollywood biggies!

Story by Cheetah Yajnesh and sound by Resul Pukutty, the film has been screenplay and dialogue by David White and involves big international names in the movie making business including DOP Ross Clarkson and world renowned action director Kecha Khampakdee.
