Anushka Sharma unveils her wax figurine at Madame Tussauds



Anushka Sharma is a global power brand and Madame Tussauds celebrated by unveiling her wax figure today. Given her popularity across countries, the wax museum at Singapore unveiled the first ever interactive wax statue that will wow the visitors.

Anushka’s life-like figure holds a phone personally inviting visitors to snap a selfie with her, which can be digitally shared with friends and family. She will be the first wax statue in the Singapore museum with this feature.

Anushka’s figure joins other Bollywood stars including Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, etc in the IIFA Awards Experience where you can re-live the glamour of the Bollywood awards ceremony. Walk the green carpet, snap selfies and dance with your own back up dancers on the big screen, or star on the cover of the IIFA Magazine and shine on stage where you receive your own award. She (Rani Laxmi Bai) was a true patriot who wanted her country to be a glorious one - says Kangana Ranaut



Today marks the 190th birth anniversary of the fearless freedom fighter Rani Laxmi Bai. And actress Kangana Ranaut will be seen playing her on the celluloid soon. On this day, the actress talks about how the legendary freedom fighter inspired her. She says, “When Akhand Bharat was agreed upon, she really believed in new age India and fought for it. I think the best way to give her tribute is to value what we have today and to make Bharat a glorious country and world power.  She was a true patriot who wanted her country to be a glorious one. I think to pursue her dream would be the best way to give her a tribute.”

Speaking on Rani Lakshmi Bai’s 190th birth anniversary, Shariq Patel, CEO, Zee Studios said, “Today, we remember India’s bravest and fiercest warrior, Rani Lakshmi Bai and her extraordinary life with sincerest gratitude. It’s an honour to be able to salute her through our upcoming film, Manikarnika-The Queen of Jhansi”.

The movie which is mounted on a really large scale sees a team of national awardees come together for a film. Right from Kangana Ranaut to Shankar Ehsaan Loy who are giving the music of the film, to Prasoon Joshi – it’s a dream team that has come together. Not just that, Hollywood action choreographer Nick Powell has designed all the stunts in the film.

Produced by Zee Studios and Kamal Jain, Manikarnika-The Queen of Jhansi, directed by Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi, is slated to release on January 25, 2019.

Amitabh Bachchan to receive Sayaji Ratna Award


Megastar Amitabh Bachchan will be visiting Baroda tomorrow, 20th November to receive the BMA's prestigious, national level Sayaji Ratna Award, a tribute to the people’s king Sir Sayajirao Gaekwad Ill. The award shall be presented to Mr. Amitabh Bachchan on 20th November 2018 in a glittering ceremony. 

The award recognizes and acknowledges living legends of India, for their iconic character and outstanding contribution in the field of Business, Sports, Arts, Humanity, Education, Governance or Medicine. 

He is the third personality to receive this prestigious award. The 1st Sayaji Ratna Award was presented to N. Narayana Murthy (Founder, lnfosys Ltd.) and the 2nd was presented to Ratan Tata, Chairman of TATA Group.

Based on the guidance of Jury, it was decided to confer the next Sayaji Ratna Award to a person of eminence from “Arts & Culture”. The Award Jury noted Shri Amitabh Bachchan’s key contribution in promoting various social cause, inspiring millions of artists across the globe and establishing highest standards of excellence. Jury also felt that Shri Amitabh Bachchan is an institution himself and hence this award. The process solicits presence of awardee at Vadodara, so that local talent and people at large derive inspiration to attain excellence.

Aayush Sharma is a favorite this award season



Aayush Sharma who made his Bollywood debut with LoveYatri is already a crowd favorite, not to mention, a front-running performer this award season owing to the popularity of the film's music.

The album continues to reign on the number one spot with Chogada being celebrated as the  Navratri anthem ,while Ank Lad Jaave is a favorite with college crowds and clubs across the country. Aditi Rao Hydari’s artistic interlude



The gorgeous Aditi Rao Hydari, coming from a royal lineage, shares its love for arts as well. Artistic by nature, she loves to explore different genres of films and is fascinated with different languages. A trained Bharatnatyam dancer, her love for various dance forms isn’t unknown. She appreciates paintings like a true aesthete! Which is why, despite having a busy schedule, the actress will be travelling to Hyderabad for a little artistic interlude. 

A source adds, “She’s taking a little time off shooting to make time for a family event. Her aunt is hosting an art exhibition tomorrow that she really wants to attend. Then it’s back to resuming her work.”
