The Kapil Sharma Show makes a comeback on Sony Entertainment Television

India’s favourite comedian, who has become an integral part of people’s lives, Kapil Sharma is back on Sony Entertainment Television with a brand-new edition of The Kapil Sharma Show. Produced by Salman Khan Television (SK TV) and Banijay Asia, The Kapil Sharma Show promises fun-filled entertaining weekends starting 29th December every Sat-Sun at 9:30PM on Sony Entertainment Television.

This time around, Kapil will be seen running a ‘Salha Center’ (Consultancy Business) in a Mohollah with absurd characters. The wealthy dairy kingpin Bachcha Yadav (Kiku Sharda) with his dominating wife Titli Yadav (Bharti Singh) have rented out houses within a mohollah where Kapil Sharma, one of the tenants, runs his consultancy business. To avoid rent, Kapil has made Bachcha his business partner. The other tennants in the Mohollah – essayed by popular comic talent in the industry like Chandan Prabhakar, Krushna Abhishek, Sumona Chakravarti, Rochelle Rao and Edward amongst others, are full of quirks and don’t shy away from their antics either.  With celebrities gracing every episode, The Kapil Sharma Show promises candid banter and unlimited entertainment every weekend. The first weekend will see the cast of Simmba – Ranveer Singh, Sara Ali Khan and Sonu Sood along with director Rohit Shetty grace the stage followed by the Khan brothers - Salman Khan, Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan along with Salim Khan in the following weekend.

The wait is finally over for the Kapil Sharma fans as he returns to television with renewed energy and vigour. After a long hiatus, Kapil, Kiku Sharda, Chandan Prabhakar, Bharti Singh and Krushna Abhishek will be seen performing together packing punches after punches for the audience. Navjot Singh Sidhu will be seen in his elements making appropriate remarks with his trademark ‘shayaris’.

Tune in to watch Kapil Sharma at his very best starting 29th December every Sat-Sun at 9:30PM only on Sony Entertainment Television

Bringing back a show of such an iconic stature is challenging and exhilarating at the same time. At SK TV and Banijay Asia, we believe Kapil’s comic timing and mass connect is second to none, and we aimed to bring back that same appeal at a much larger scale along with fresher elements that add tremendous value to give audiences their perfect weekend watch.

Angoori Bhabhi’s dance tribute to the legendary Sridevi

New Year’s is a time when everyone makes merry. Some enjoy going out and celebrating with the world while some enjoy sitting in the comforts of their home with friends and family watching their favourite show. This New Year, call your favourite people and hide that remote. &TV is proud to present Shaam Shaandar, an entertaining night which will bring to your television screen a fun filled and star studded New Year’s party. Famous names from the television world will be seen performing various acts on some of the most famous songs followed by some entertaining acts by different artists.

One artist that will definitely become the talking point for all is our very own Shubhangi Atre. Known as the sweet and simple Angoori Bhabhi from &TV's Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain, Shubhangi’s performance will be a spectacular one on &TV’s Shaam Shandaar’s stage as she will be seen paying tribute to an iconic and legendary actress, the late "Sridevi". Wowing the audience with her performance on some of the most memorable songs of the actress, Shubhangi will be seen performing on iconic numbers like, Tere mere hoto pe, Kaate nahi kat te, Morni bagha ma and Mere haatho mein naun naun chudiyan. She is extremely pleased and delighted about being able to pull off this tribute to the one and only Chandni of Bollywood.

Excited and pleasantly nervous as she performs, Shubhangi shares, "It is an overwhelming feeling to be able to perform and pay tribute to the most iconic and legendary actress in Hindi Cinema – Sridevi Ji.  I have grown up watching and admiring her and her work as she is the epitome of not just beauty, but also as an actor and performer. It gives me immense happiness and I’m eternally grateful to be able to pay a tribute to her. I hope the viewers and my fans enjoy my performance."

It will definitely be a Shaandaar Shaam for Angoori Bhabhi where the actress will be seen donning vibrantly coloured sarees as she performs on the classic songs of the legendary actress.

To know more, watch Shaam Shaandar on 29th and 30th Dec at 7:00 pm only on &TV.

Oscar Nominated Director’s film based in Kashmir finds itself in a tug of war for Film Certification

A few weeks ago, news reports had surfaced where Ashvin Kumar, India’s youngest Oscar-nominated director of the short film Little Terrorist found himself in a place where no filmmaker wishes to be. Being a creative medium, films have had a long-standing scale of issues with the CBFC over the years. With increasing methods to curb a voice, CBFC has always made news in terms of its varied reasons to reject or give incorrect certification to several films. And Ashvin Kumar’s next, No Fathers In Kashmir is currently is such a lurk. The film has had its own history now with the CBFC since July when the film first applied for certification. A process which usually would take 60-68 days took over 100 days to even get a certificate. The CBFC tagged the film ‘A’ in October despite it following all the lawful guidelines crafted by the board.

No Fathers in Kashmir is a love story of two innocent 16-year-olds who are met with the same fortune of having lost their fathers who have disappeared in Kashmir with no certainty of their return. Interestingly Ashvin has made two other short films earlier Inshallah Football and Inshallah Kashmir both of which were first banned by the film certification board and later went on to win a National Award for each. Now when the filmmakers for their latest, decided to question and request for a revision of the certificate to U/A, the matter was applied to the FCAT, the final decision-making body for film certification. Upon the investigation of the matter, the FCAT in its screening which was held on 11th December, demanded the CBFC revising committee to give the film a proper hearing, in a written order asked them to watch the movie again and give it its justified certification within 10 days, which was on 21st December. Since then the CBFC has already removed the order and asked for a further extension to give its order on the movie.

This happens to be the worst nightmare for a filmmaker, who’s invested time and creativity apart from money in making a film, especially when it’s independent. The tug of war between these two film certification bodies has left the makers of No Fathers in Kashmir in a very mucky space with no certainty of a release for its film. The film stars the two kids Zara Webb, Shivam Rana in addition to having an impressive ensemble cast comprising of Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Soni Razdan and Anshuman Jha.

Big Boss 12 - Kavita Kaushik roots for Karanvir for the win

Bigg boss fever is at its peak with the show having reached its final leg. It's the third year in a row where the commoners are pitted against celebrities making the finale interesting.

Amidst all the drama & fun tasks in the finale week on the show, social media is abuzz with loyal fans of the television's most controversial show rooting for their respective favorite players & making the race spicier & we can't tell who has bigger chances of taking away the trophy.

The Naagin actor, Karanvir Bohra, has time & again been labelled 'Mahan' ( generous on the show & for his inmates).  And we love this video of television actress who's known for her bold style playing the fiery police officer Chandramukhi Chautala as she has come out supporting Karanvir.  Kaushik in her video makes a comparison, as she says 'Mahan hona achhi baat hai kyunki Mera Bharat bhi Mahan hai'

Check out her video :-

Looks like the industry is surely supporting Karanvir!  Shweta Tiwari, Divyanka Tripathi, Mouni Roy, Karan Patel, Arjun Bijlani, Puneesh, Srishty Rode, Simple Kaul etc all have already shown their support for the actor and are rooting for him to win!

Rohit Shetty spills the beans on The Kapil Sharma show

Sara Ali Khan, the stunning young actress is already making headlines with her acting talent and gorgeous looks. Her charming personality is winning hearts of the audience and movie goers are looking forward to her second movie, Simmba. Sara Ali Khan will be seen with Ranveer singh and Rohit Shetty on the premiere episode of  The Kapil Sharma Show which will air on 29th December at 9.30 PM. The most anticipated show promises to be laugh riot with the star cast of Simmba adding to the extra tadka of entertainment. Sara was very excited to be the part of The Kapil Sharma show. Sara being the youngest member on the show, Rohit and Ranveer kept pulling her leg and revealed lot of secrets on the show. When Kapil quizzed Sara on how she bagged the movie, Rohit revealed how Sara followed-up with him and insisted that he should take her in the movie. The way Rohit narrated the story left the audience and splits.

A source from the set revealed, “Rohit narrated the entire incident of how Sara chased him through messages and thereafter approached Karan Johar. Later, Gattu (Abhishek Kapoor) also spoke to Rohit upon Sara’s insistence that Rohit should watch the rushes of Kedarnath. One day, Rohit decided to meet Sara and she went alone which was quite surprising for Rohit. Sara literally pleaded Rohit to take her in Simmba and Rohit decided upon Sara purely looking at her conviction. He didn’t even see the rushes of Kedarnath. Rohit also mentioned that Sara is in Simmba purely because of her hard work as ne never got a call from neither Saif nor Amrita to put in a word for Sara.”

Tune in to The Kapil Sharma Show starting 29th December at 9:30PM only on Sony Entertainment Television
