IVM PODCASTS LAUNCHES ALEXA SKILL FOR CYRUS BROACHA



IVM Podcasts, India’s premier podcast network announced that its popular show, Cyrus Says will now have its own official skill on Amazon Alexa. Listeners of Cyrus Says can now play the popular podcast on their Amazon Echo or any Alexa-enabled device with the convenience of voice.

Hosted by the inimitable Cyrus Broacha, the show covers various elements of life in urban India including politics, sports, civic sense, traffic, kids, food and a host of other themes. This cricket season tune in to LANSO (Left-Arm-Not-So-Orthodox) – a topical edition of his podcast that airs every Wednesday by just saying “Alexa, talk to me about cricket”.

The skill can also be accessed with the Alexa app available on iOS and Android. Once enabled use simple voice commands such as “Alexa, open Cyrus Says”, or“Alexa, ask Cyrus says to play the latest podcast” to start listening.

Speaking on the association, Amit Doshi, founder of IVM said, “Making the skill available on Amazon Alexa is very exciting since it’s a sign of larger audiences adopting podcast as a medium of consuming content. It’s a seamless way to listen your favorite podcast with an official skill and I’m certain that fans of Cyrus Says will be very pleased with this development.”

Cyrus Broacha, TV and theatre personality, comedian and host of the show said, "Wow Cyrus Says is on Amazon Alexa?   Keep in mind Cyrus himself is not available. Just Cyrus Says. Ask Alexa to play me, I mean Cyrus Says."

While podcasts are a fairly popular medium of content consumption in the west, the Indian market is still playing catch-up. Director Joe Russo has Avengers thali and launches anthem with A R Rahman



Over the last ten years, Indian audiences, across the country, have emerged as huge fans of the Super Heroes and films that come from Marvel and Avengers: Infinity War becoming the highest Hollywood grosser in India. With the much-anticipated Avengers: Endgame releasing on April 26; the film to beat it's predecessor's record.


To celebrate the passion of the fans and to engage exclusively with them on the upcoming Avengers: Endgame, Director Joe Russo is on a Mumbai promotional visit, coming to India first before the Asia Pacific tour!

Amidst huge fanfare Joe Russo and A.R. Rahman launched the Hindi Marvel Anthem for Indian fans.

What's more Joe even was spotted enjoying an exclusive Avengers Indian Indian thali made specially for him!

He also met hundreds of fans at a massive event where spectacular fan art was unveiled. The director was seen thanking all the Indian fans and acknowledging their love since the past decade for Marvel movies.

Avengers: Endgame releases on 26th April in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.

Film PM Narendra Modi's music is inspiring



The much-anticipated film PM Narendra Modi brings with it an impressive six-song album, with each track complimenting the story.

The songs have been distributed between music composers Shashi -Khushi and Hitesh Modak, with each composing three songs in it. The former make their presence felt with Saugandh Mujhe Iss Mitti Ki, which is sung by Sukhwinder Singh and Shashi Suman. Taking inspiration from the Prime Minister's speech to serve the nation, it's penned by Prasoon Joshi. There's a burst of josh with Suno Gaur Se Duniya Walo - a 90s hit that has been recreated by Shashi-Khushi and sung by the original singer Shankar Mahadevan's son Siddharth and Shashi Suman. Fakeera, is soulful track sung by Raja Hasan.

Hitesh Modak takes over with Namo Namo, which is a rap song on Modi by producer Sandip Ssingh along with rap by Perry G. He has also composed Meri Nazar Mein, which is an emotional track sung by Javed Ali. Another song has been recreated with Ishwar Allah from the film, 1947: Earth. Sung by Suvarna Tiwari, the song is about the greatest religion of the world, which is humanity.

The entire album has been programmed and produced by Meghdeep Bose and Hitesh Modak, who has also done the background score of the film. The audio has been mixed and mastered by Tausif Shaikh and the music partner is T-Series.

Producer, Creative Director and story by Sandip Ssingh. Produced by Suresh Oberoi and Anand Pandit, the film, which is directed by Omung Kumar, will hit the theaters on April 5.

EPIC CHANNEL GIVES ITS POPULAR SERIES ‘LOST RECIPES’ A SECOND SEASON



EPIC Channel has announced the second season of its popular food show ‘Lost Recipes’ hosted by celebrity chef Aditya Bal. In the first season, the renowned chef and author travelled extensively around the country in search of recipes and food preparations that have quietly been forgotten over time. Dishes such as Mutanjan- Sweet Chicken Pulao, Houk Sun-Curry or Sun Dried Vegetables, Bevina Hoovina Payasa- Neem Flower Payasam, Painda-E-Khas - special stuffed game birds; and many more were revived from their slumber. 

The 10 episode second season will see him, once again, walk down the forgotten road of culinary traditions that have been lost, forgotten, or simply neglected. Straight from the traditional kitchens that stand like tiny oasis of food memory, this season will explore dishes from Hampi, Vizag, Darjeeling, Bodhgaya, and Maharashtra, among others. Accompanying the cooking, shall come alive tales steeped in history and folklore. 


Commenting on anchoring a second season, host Aditya Bal said “I had an amazing time shooting for Season 1 of the show where so many delicious dishes were revived. As a chef, I’ve always felt that the history and heritage of a dish makes it all the more interesting. I’m looking forward to making more discoveries in Season 2, after all some of the most iconic times in our history go hand in hand with food.”
