Happu Ki Ultan Paltan’s Aryan Prajapati balances studies and shooting effortlessly

How we love the magic, naughtiness and innocence child artists bring to the small screen! However we often don’t realise the struggles they go through as they try to balance their schooling and studies with their shoot schedules. Television shoots can continue for long hours on a daily basis which leaves almost no time and energy for child actors to focus on their school work and other activities that a normal child would engage in. Here is where the parents of the children come to their rescue! Their supportive parents and cooperative teachers lend a helping hand to help cope up with the studies that they miss in school.

Striking the perfect balance between his shoot and studies is the new mischievous kid on the block, Aryan Prajapati aka Hrithik Happu Singh. Currently essaying the extremely notorious and over-smart son of Daroga Happu Singh in &TV’s show Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, the young actor has gained immense popularity for his work across television and films. The talented child artist has often been appreciated for his varied roles in films that have been hits at the box office and will be soon be seen in the upcoming Salman Khan starrer, Bharat. While he may be reaping the benefits of his success, turns out the kid is also managing the time devoted to his studies and shoot well. Currently in the fifth standard, Aryan has been shuttling between school and television or movie sets, while also using the transit time to pick up on his share of studies.

Talking about how he brings this balance, Aryan said, “I began shooting for shows and commercials at the age of six years. I have always followed a strict schedule that has managed to help me keep up with my studies from then till right till now where I’m shooting for Happu Ki Ultan Paltan. My parents have helped me set this balance and make sure that the burden of either my studies or shoot do not affect each other. Even while I am shooting and have some free time around, my mother helps me study and gives me easy subjects or topics to learn so that I don’t feel overburdened and neither do I lag in my studies. It is because of my mother that I get good grades in my exams. My school has been extremely supportive and understanding towards my passion for acting and they have given me an exemption to take leaves in between to concentrate on my shoot. When I have off from the shoots I go to school and attend regular lectures.”

Talking about his studies Aryan’s mother Reeta Prajapati shares, “Aryan is a bright student at school and he is also very good at extracurricular activities. I am extremely supportive of his talent and passion, but his grades and study schedules are as important to me. Even now I make sure he carries his books and study material with him on the Happu Ki Ultan Paltan set so that he can study during breaks. Sometimes, when I go with him during an outdoor shoot, I teach him a topic which he has lost out on learning in school. Aryan, is blessed to have the teachers who keep mailing me everything that is being taught in the class.”

Amidst all the running around from set to school the talented boy manages to take classes in swimming and dance. Aryan who is extremely passionate about acting wishes to become a good dancer as well, which also helps him in his films and TV shows. Sometimes hectic and exhausting shooting schedules lead the children to be less proactive and tired by the end of the day and it also affects their studies. In Aryan’s case, his mother makes sure that he is active and doesn’t skip his homework and submissions in school. Speaking of which Aryan shares, “During exam time if I am shooting I make sure that I do my revisions along with my mother on the sets of my show. My mother doesn’t let my shoot affect my exams.”

We sure are proud of how Aryan tackles both his shoot and studies!

Watch Happu Ki Ultan Paltan every Monday to Friday, 10:00pm only on &TV.

ZEEL channels pause their content to encourage voter turnout

~ ZEE’s entertainment channels pause their content for 2 hrs on voting day and request viewers to step out and vote in a unique campaign #GrownUpsGoVote ~

Mumbai, 11 April 2019: In a bid to encourage and mobilize viewers to cast their vote this election, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. (ZEEL), a leading media & entertainment powerhouse, announced the launch of a one-of-its-kind campaign called ‘Grown Ups Go Vote’. The campaign kicked off across the network prior to election week with child stars from the network appealing to the adults to fulfil their responsibility and do the grown-up thing by voting in the upcoming Indian Elections 2019.

To amplify the message and also to take a concrete measure as a media powerhouse, ZEEL has taken a stance not to air regular content for 2 hours (8am - 10am) across network channels on the days votes will be cast across respective states. It will instead air messages aimed at encouraging people to cast their vote. The initiative has been kicked off from Voting Day 1- 11th April and will see it span the entire voting period.

Speaking on the initiative Prathyusha Agarwal, CMO, ZEEL said, “As a responsible national television network, it is our duty to encourage every Indian citizen we reach to vote. #GrownUpsGoVote is a campaign to transform voting from a chore to a celebration of civic engagement. It calls out to all adult citizens to do the grown-up thing and fulfil their responsibility to the nation’s future. Pausing our content is our way of encouraging people to move out of their homes and march to the polling booths. It’s a move away from our regular messaging where we ask people to watch our shows. As part of this campaign, our artists are appealing to the audience to go vote rather than sitting and watching them.”

Spreading over the entire election period across all 9 languages on 39 channels (as per respective election dates) covering all key states in India, the campaign aims at adding to the milestone of the largest voter turnout that the nation seeks to achieve. We have also partnered with clients who are encouraging voter turnout and running their messages as part of the integrated push between 8 AM - 10 AM on our channels.

Raju Singh, the Musical Sikh Behind Kesari

It's always the stars behind stars that make the stars or their films. So while we mostly know about the actors or the songs that get popular, ever wondered who's responsible for the thrill and the romance or the dhishoom dhishoom that our movies are so known for? It's the magical works of background music composers.

So while Akshay Kumar starrer Kesari is raking in the moolah with its recent release at the box office, there's one musical Sikh who's played an instrumental role in the making of this film. We are talking about composer Raju Singh who is known for film background music pieces in Bollywood industry.

Having worked with the filmmaker of Kesari, Anurag Singh in his Punjabi national award winning film, Punjab 1984, Singh has been a great fan of the filmmaker ever since. "I just love the way Anurag works on his films. He is such a versatile director, right from Jatt & Juliet which was a complete commercial entertainer to the serious drama Punjab 1984, Anurag had shown great versatility and sensibilities of all kinds of cinema. I enjoyed the process of music arrangements even in Kesari," says Singh while further adding, "Anurag is among those directors that give so much importance to every aspect of filmmaking. I was brought on board and also started working even before the shooting of the film began. Generally, filmmakers shoot a lot of the film and then give it to the composers to piece together the background tracks, however, Anurag wanted this film to be so enriched with the Punjabi culture as it celebrates the bravura of the great Sikh warriors who fought tooth and nail to protect their land, that he wanted me to move along with my work as the shooting progressed. His expectations brought out the best in me and I loved this challenge to bits!"

Clearly the teaming of Raju Singh and Anurag Singh is working wonders, first the national award for Punjab 1984 and now the rave reviews for Kesari!

Ironically, Raju Singh has also been associated with Akshay Kumar's films and has been a part of Akhay's journey in the industry. Right from Akshay's debut movie Saugandh to Kesari, Raju Singh has arranged the background pieces for his films, "Coincidentally it's true that my association with Akshay goes a long way. In fact I've worked in quite a few of Akshay's films including the likes of Sainik, and then his famous Khiladi series and now Kesari! It's been a great journey," says Raju Singh.
