Farhan Akhtar to attend UEFA Champions League Finals as UEFA’s Official Guest from India

The UEFA Champions League Finals, this year, will see a special guest from India in attendance – Bollywood superstar Farhan Akhtar. As UEFA’s Official Guest from India, he will watch the finals and get a taste of the UEFA Champions League experience at the Metropolitano Stadium in Madrid, Spain on 1st June 2019.

A man of many talents, Farhan Akhtar, is a football enthusiast. He has often spoken about his passion for sports, especially football and to date, still gets together with his friends for a friendly game of football. Zee Studios to release Haryanvi film Chhoriyan Chhoron Se Kam Nahi Hoti on May 17, 2019

Zee Studios, in association with The Satish Kaushik Entertainment, today announced the release of their upcoming Haryanvi film Chhoriyan Chhoron Se Kam Nahi Hoti on May 17, 2019. 

Directed by Rajesh Amarlal Babbar, the film stars Satish Kaushik, Aniruddh Dave, Rashmi Somavanshi in the lead roles. The film showcases and further establishes the idea of empowering women and taking a step ahead in gender equality.

Speaking on the film, Shariq Patel, CEO, Zee Studios said, “We are happy to join hands with Satish Kaushik to present our first Haryanvi film, a poignant story that establishes the importance of gender equality in our society. With this film, Zee Studios continues to back essential stories that need to be told”. 

Director Rajesh Amarlal Babbar said, “It’s a matter of great pride that my film’s teaser poster is out today. The film revolves around women empowerment and takes a bold step in spreading the message not only in Haryana but to the rest of the world that a girl child is not less than a boy in any sphere of life”. 

Actor Satish Kaushik commented, “To play the character of Jaidev Chowdhry was tough because it was a grey part, but I liked the dynamics of the character, and had a great time playing a typical, orthodox father who always wanted a son in the family. Initially, it’s a character you will hate but as the character grows he becomes a lovable father. My chemistry with the lead actress Rashmi Somvanshi who played my daughter on screen was amazing and same with lead actor Aniruddh Dave who is very popular for his TV show Patiala Babes. Director Rajesh Babbar was very clear about how he wanted to make the film and I was very impressed how he dealt with such a good subject, I just followed his directions to enhance my performance.”

Producer Nishant Kaushik adds, “After Tanu Weds Manu, Dangal and Sultan, Haryanvi language has come to the national forefront like any other language. We are happy that the first big Haryanvi film’s first look is releasing today. We at The Satish Kaushik Entertainment, along with Zee Studios, hope to create a new regional market and industry for Haryanvi films”.

Kunal Parwani roped in to play Sharman Joshi's best friend in ALTBalaji's ‘Baarish’

ALTBalaji’s upcoming web-series ‘Baarish- When you are in mood for romance !’ is soon going to mesmerize the audience with its unique story-telling and characters ! With its simple yet elegant love story, it has kept the old school love alive. The handsome Kunal Parwani has been roped in to play Sharman Joshi’s best friend ‘Sorab’ in the web-series. When Sharman Joshi playing the character of ANUJ, a gujarati businessman, does not understand the meaning of falling in a relationship with Gauravi played by Asha Negi! To his rescue comes his best friend Sorab which is essayed by Kunal Parwani. He is the solution for all this problems ! 

On playing Sorab, Kunal says, “Digital platforms are growing and it is really easier and quick to shoot. As an actor we start getting many opportunities now. As far as working with ALTBalaji is concerned, Every member of the team is so helpful and considerate. One had a liberty to give layers to the character with the help of the team. This has been by far the best experiences that I have had. I really feel connected to the web series. It has been a wonderful experience working with the whole team especially our director Nandita Ma’am as she helped me get more into my character ‘Sorab’ who is a Parsi fellow. The relationship that Anuj (Sharman) and I share is beyond friendship, more like brotherhood. 

On his equation with Sharman, Kunal says : ‘He is by far the most talented and a supportive actor as well as a friend I have ever worked with. I have learnt a lot from him and the learnings will be with me for life. I just pray and hope that I get to work with him again! It’s rare to find such an humble and extremely helpful person in your journey! This show has a different feel altogether and I am sure you will love it!”

Robert Downey Jr. aka Iron Man is the only Avenger to read the entire script of Avengers: Endgame

As we all know, the Russo brothers went to all lengths to keep the script of the upcoming superhero movie, Avengers: Endgame a secret from all the members of team Avengers.

However there was only one person to read the entire script of the film and that is none other than Iron Man aka Robert Downey Jr.

But, in a new interview, the Russo brothers revealed that Tom wasn't the only one who didn't end up reading the entire Endgame script. In fact, all of the Avengers but one were left in the dark!

Talking to Rotten Tomatoes, Joe said: "[Robert Downey, Jr.] was probably the only one to actually read the entire script. I think Benedict [Cumberbatch] got the script that included his scenes only."

After a year long wait, the film is all set to hit the theaters next week and the excitement of the fans is at the peak. Millions of fans are waiting to witness what happened after Thanos snapped his fingers and if the remaining Avengers can bring the ones that vanished back.

Avengers: Endgame releases on 26th April in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.

Emraan Hashmi to star in the Hindi remake of top grossing Malayalam horror film 'Ezra'

Emraan Hashmi has always proven his mettle as an actor and is known for choosing interesting films. The actor has recently been roped for Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak's Hindi remake of Prithviraj starrer horror film Ezra being produced by Panorama Studios. This is the second time Panorama Studios is remaking a Malayalam film, the first being Drishyam. Ezra is being directed by Jay Krishnan  who has directed the original Malayalam film as well.

The film will be shot in Mumbai and Mauritius. The casting of the female lead is underway.

An elated Emraan says, "Horror is a genre with immense potential, a well-made horror film will always draw audiences in huge numbers to cinema halls. With Ezra, we hope to push the boundaries further and give the audience an experience that they will never forget. I'm happy to be associating with Kumarji and Abhishek on this film and with Jay Krishnan at the helm of things all I can say is be prepared for one hell of a spooky ride.”

Producer Abhishek Pathak adds, "Ezra was a success story in Malayalam and a good story is always universal and hence we were convinced that it has the potential to appeal to the pan-India audience as it has a perfect blend of horror, story and emotion. With this remake, we look forward to work with Emraan for our third collaboration after Dil Toh Bacha Hai Ji and the untitled Amitji-Emraan film which is under-production."

Jay Krishnan who is all set to direct the Hindi remake states, "When Kumarji and Abhishek watched Ezra they were convinced that it needs to be retold to a wider audience and in a bigger canvas. The fresh approach to the horror genre showcased in Ezra was well received down south and the film was a blockbuster. I hope to push the envelope further with the backing of Panorama studios and the presence of an actor like Emraan Hashmi."
