EPIC CHANNEL CELEBRATES MAHARASHTRA DAY AND GUJARAT DAY



Across the world, May 1 is celebrated as International Labour Day but the date is of special significance in India as the days when two of it’s most progressive states, Maharashtra and Gujarat celebrate, the day they achieved statehood. This year EPIC Channel - India Ka Apna Infotainment, known for its India centric content is taking the celebrations on-air, by showcasing unique stories from this region in a day-long curated programming line-up from 12pm -7pm.

Culturally diverse and picturesque states with unique culinary traditions, the programmes will explore little known and unique facets of these states.

The special line-up by EPIC Channel, will feature episodes of Sharanam where Juhi Chawla will take the viewers on a journey to, ‘Ganpatipule’ on the western coast of Maharashtra, the abode, according to popular belief, of a 400-year-old self-manifested idol of Lord Ganesha. An episode on ‘Sai Baba’ of Shirdi where the viewers will get a chance to understand the message and miracles of Sai Baba through the eyes of his devotees. Another episode will cover Mahalaxmi of Kolhapur who is eulogised as the reason for the prosperity of the city.

Kahi Suni showcasing episodes on ‘Madhavpur Ghed’ in Gujarat, which traces the mystic romance of Lord Krishna’s wedding with Rukmini. ‘Adalaj Vav’, which tells the tale of Rani Radubai and the formation of the beautiful Adalaj Stepwell.


No journey in India is complete without a chapter on food, Lost Recipes hosted by Aditya Bal, will take the audience on a journey of food which is diffused into the pages of history and the rediscovery of a tradition that once was. One of the episodes on ‘Mumbai’ will focus on its 2000-year-old East Indian community, and their mouth-watering cuisine. Another episode will be on ‘Udwada’ in Gujarat where the host discovers the forgotten recipes of 19th century that are a delightful amalgamation of Persian and Gujarati cultures and their flavours.

Viewers will get a chance to visit through the lens of history some of India’s most historic locations including Champner, Daulatabad, Murud, and Lakhpat through the show Ekaant.

DJ Snake's India Tour 2019



India’s Biggest ever headline tour- He kick started his India tour with the biggest & most talked about Holi event in Mumbai followed by Bengaluru, Hyderabad and New Delhi. Fans were very happy to see their favorite star back on stage performing on their favorite tracks especially Taki Taki, Lean On, Magenta Riddim and many more.

Over 100,000 attendees across the 4 shows: DJ Snake has always garnered immense love from India and it makes him come back to the country several times. His tour has always been one of the most anticipated tours in India. All the shows in the four cities were sold out and was a great success.


Bollywood Connection- His India Tour 2019 proved that even Bollywood is a big fan of DJ Snake. He met many Bollywood personalities like Karan Johar, Varun Dhawan and Ayan Mukherjee at Dharma office. It was followed by meeting Badshah and Parineeti Chopra in the evening. His gigs were not only attended by his fans but also by many renowned names from the industry like Jacqueline Fernandez, Nora Fatehi, Gauri Khan and many more. DJ Snake also met Mr Shah Rukh Khan at Mannat post his performance before leaving for next city.

DJ Snake firmly establishes himself as India’s favorite artist:  Many international artist have visited India and have received immense love from their Indian fans but we cannot deny the fact that DJ Snake is one of the most favorite international artist.

RUBARU MR.INDIA 2019



RUBARU MR.INDIA pageant is regarded as the foremost and oldest surviving annual male pageant in India. It is regarded as nation’s longest running male pageant. The pageant was created in the year 2004. The most deserving of them all will be awarded with a special award at the conclusion of the competition along with the election of the new winner.

De De Pyaar De Actress Rakul Preet Is A Shopaholic, And We Have The Proof



Women undeniably have a knack for shopping, however, the lovely De De Pyaar De actress Rakul Preet has certainly taken it to the next level by managing to go on a shopping spree in the midst of the shooting.

The actress, who made a splash with her impeccable comic timing in the trailer of De De Pyaar De, unleashed the shopaholic in her while shooting for her favourite song sequence – ‘Tu Mila To Haina’ from the film. 

Some portions of this romantic number were being filmed at the shopper’s paradise in London – Oxford Street & Hyde Park. When you are surrounded by top brands and fashion-forward styles, it’s almost impossible to resist the temptation of shopping. And that’s exactly what happened with our stylish lady, who plays Ashish’s (Ajay Devgn) love interest in the film. Rakul couldn’t turn down the lure to shop and dropped in at several stores, in between the shots, only to return with an armful of shopping bags from each shop.


We have the confession straight from the horse’s mouth. Recalling the shooting experience, Rakul said, “’Tu Mila To Haina’ is my favourite song, it reflects me and my personality very well. And we had a blast shooting for the song. We shot for some portions of ‘Tu Mila To Haina’ at Oxford Street, which is the main hub for shopping. So, we ended up shopping from stores in between shots, it was just too tempting and a lot of fun.”

Well, a woman gotta have what she wants, isn’t it?

De De Pyaar De is helmed by Akiv Ali and also stars Ajay Devgn and Tabu in lead roles. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg, and is poised to release on May 17, 2019.

‘MITTI KE SITARE’, INDIA’S BIGGEST MUSIC REALITY SHOW



'Mitti Ke Sitare, India’s first musical reality show for underprivileged kids between 7-15 years, is pleased to announce their top 18 semi-finalists. Shortlisted from 1187 MCGM and slum schools of Mumbai, they will now get an opportunity to introduce themselves at the Grand Finale on 22nd June, 2019. The semi-finalists, specially handpicked after extensive rounds of auditions, are immensely gifted singers in both the spheres of vocal and instrumental music.

‘Mitti Ke Sitare’ is a social initiative by renowned social activist and Vice President-Corporate Head with Axis Bank, Mrs. Amruta Fadnavis organized by Divyaj Foundation, in association with MPower Foundation, to provide a platform for the hidden talents across indigent areas of Mumbai. To conduct this social welfare project, Divyaj Foundation associated with 1187 MCGM schools to connect, identify and select children from the underprivileged sector - those who are blessed with talent but lack resources to improve themselves.

The Talent Hunt had 3 rounds of auditions, which involved scouting for the best from a massive artistry pool of 1.2 lakh BMC and Slum school children across Mumbai. For Round 1, a total of 6000 students were identified to participate and upload their recorded audios or entries on the servers provided to these respective schools. 527 students out of 6000 participants were selected for the second round.

In round two, 54 students were selected by the board of evaluators appointed by Divyaj Foundation.

These 54 students selected in round 2 were further evaluated in round 3 and subsequently the finest 18 gems have been selected to perform against each other at the grand finale which will be judged by renowned people from the musical fraternity.

These eighteen students are now undergoing 3 months special musical training and grooming session in Mumbai, under the guidance of professionals – Shankar Mahadevan Academy for vocal training, holistic fitness training by Mickey Mehta, mental health training from Mpower and other trainings to prepare them for the grand finale where they will get a chance to perform on stage with renowned artists of the music industry.

The Foundation will be honing, polishing and presenting these 18 contestants to the global audience by providing them a platform to perform and giving them an opportunity to showcase their talent to the world.

Speaking on the occasion, Mrs. Amruta Fadnavis said “These children have the talent, they have the fire in the belly, desire to excel but they lack resources which we will provide them and help them to realize their dreams”.
