Dish TV: d2h skill introduced on Amazon Alexa in India

With an aim to further enhance the TV viewing experience for its d2h customers, Dish TV India Limited, the world’s largest single-country DTH Company has launched a Skill for Amazon Alexa in India. Say, “Alexa, enable d2h” and start using the skill to explore a vast world of entertainment, discover movies, sports and music, using only your voice. 

d2h skill will allow subscribers to use voice commands through Alexa to surf a wide range of content and get  up-to-date information of their d2h account. With d2h skill, subscribers will be able to set reminders for their favorite programs, get recommendations on trending programs, access to d2h account details, register ‘call me’ request, do basic trouble shooting and lot more though Alexa enabled devices. 

Highlighting benefits of d2h skill for Alexa, Mr. Anil Dua, Executive Director & Group CEO, Dish TV India Limited, said, "Voice enabled search and information access is the cutting edge of home entertainment today. The d2h Alexa skill can be used by anyone with an Amazon Echo smart speaker or other devices such as headphones and speakers with Alexa built-in. The skill can also be accessed through the Alexa app available on iOS and Android. With more functionality and additional features in the pipeline, customers will be able to do much more through the d2h skill.

Furthermore, d2h subscribers can link their account and access information such as current balance, switch-off date and monthly recharge amount, using a selection of prompts to initiate the Alexa skill for d2h. 

How it works:

●      Users can enable the d2h skill using the Alexa app

●      Users can then open the d2h skill for Alexa with a selection of prompts such as, "Alexa, launch d2h” or “Alexa, open d2h”

●      D2h skill for Alexa will provide information and assist in searching a specific program on a channel, or programs of interest playing on d2h at a particular time

●      Skill will provide recommendations on top movies, shows and sports by d2h

●      Users can also add reminder for a favorite program just by asking for it.

●      d2h subscribers can link their account with Alexa to access information such as balance, switch-off date, and monthly recharge amount

●      d2h subscribers can also raise a call-me request through Alexa or do basic troubleshooting through the d2h skill.

Sony MAX celebrates 20 glorious years of showcasing Indian Cinema with some of Bollywood's most cherished blockbusters

Aditya Seal to play the leading man in Bosco Martis’ upcoming dance-horror comedy

Ace choreographer Bosco Leslie Martis recently announced his upcoming film, a Zee Studios in-house production, promising to bring a unique, never-done-before genre—a dance horror-comedy—to India.

Now, we have confirmation on the leading man for Bosco's film. Aditya Seal, who was last seen in Student of the Year 2, will now be seen in a new avatar, as confirmed by the director. 

Director Bosco Leslie Martis shares, "Aditya is a multi-talented artiste, who is a skilled dancer, actor and action performer. His potential has not been fully tapped into yet. He fits the leading character's shoes perfectly, and his personality will blend well with that of this character. We are finalising the screenplay and should start the pre-production work by October. We plan to roll by early 2020." 

Shariq Patel, CEO, Zee Studios added, “We are happy to have a young, talented performer like Aditya on board! It’s a never-seen-before genre that we are bringing to Indian audiences especially targeted at kids, pre-teens and teens. The film will be mounted on a huge scale with an interesting ensemble cast.” 

Keeping his promise, Bosco will also be announcing the names of a few participants from the show, Dance India Dance, a reality show he judges, at the show finale, who will get a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to feature in his upcoming film. “We are in the final leg of the show, and the winner will definitely feature in the film. Apart from that, I am looking to rope in a few other contestants as well; those whose skills have impressed us,” Bosco adds. 

Film to go on floors by early next year.

Hritik’s inspiration for weight loss

After giving super hit films like Super 30 Hritik is ready to set the screens on fire with another amazing film WAR. While promoting his film actor landed on the sets of Sony Entertainment Television’s show The Kapil Sharma Show along with his co-star Vani Kapoor. Both the actors had an entertaining time as they went of spilling beans from behind the scenes moments of WAR and shaking legs on the popular song ‘Ghungroo toot gaye’.

During the show, Kapil tried to enquire about the fact that Hritik signed for WAR because Tiger was doing the film. Clarifying the same Hritik mentions, “This wasn’t the major condition but I told the makers that if Tiger is doing the film, I will definitely do the film.” He adds, “After I did Super 30 I had gained a lot of weight. My waist size was around 38inches. Working with Tiger inspired me to lose weight and make it 30 again.” He recalls the movie Life of Pi and says “Everyone needs a Tiger in his boat”.

Further in the show, HR revealed his personal message for Vani after their 1st shoot sequence in WAR. When Vani came on The Kapil Sharma show for the first time she had mentioned that she is a huge fan of HR. Hence Kapil tried to enquire from her that how did she react on meeting him for the 1st time. Vani asked HR to share the incidence. Hritik adds, “I know why she is asking me to narrate the incidence because I wrote a very long text message after my 1st shot with her. She had put her entire heart and emotions into the film. The message read ‘What you have brought into the film is something that I did not expect. You are tremendous actor with full spontaneity.”

Arnold Schwarzenegger made The Terminator unforgettable and it made him a megastar. Now “he’s back” as the iconic character – going from Judgment Day to Dark Fate.

The superstar is back to his legacy as Terminator: Dark Fate releases on 1st November, along with his iconic co-star Linda Hamilton, fondly known as Sarah Connor from the franchise
