Dinesh Vijan’s horror comedy, Stree, has created a
huge wave of excitement amongst the audiences with its intriguing concept. The
trailer of the film has titillated the audiences to want to watch the mystery
behind Stree!
With so much excitement around the film, the
makers have come up with a unique marketing idea. Instead of following up their
hugely loved trailer with the usual dialogue promos, they have shot a bunch of
wickedly funny promos that are separate from the content of the film.
This unique idea is to tickle the audience's
curiosity with promos similar in theme and mood but at the same time not
exposing more of the hilarious content from the film itself.
Dinesh Vijan shares, "The premise of Stree is
so unusual and intriguing that we decided to take a different route and not
reveal anything more from our film! Instead we conceptualised character promos to give you a small peak into the
lives of our characters and have a great blend of horror and comedy. The 5
promos will be released digitally as well as on television, and we hope that
this innovation is well received by audiences!"
Raj Nidimoru shares, "A unique film warrants
unique promotions. Stree is the kind of story that doesn't have a precedence.
You can get a taste of it from the trailer. We didn't want to expose any more
content from the film. So instead of creating more promos from the film, we
thought we could do additional content with similar mood and theme.. to
generate more curiosity."
Dinesh Vijan presents Stree, a Maddock Films production
in association with D2r films and Jio Studios. The horror comedy has been
directed by Amar Kaushik and is set to release on 31st August 2018..
