The issue raised in theupcoming film of Suhaib Ilyasi’s 498A-The Wedding Gift. The film is based on the social issue of falsedowry cases. Indian government has strict laws against dowry takers but in somecases ladies are taking undue advantage by claiming to be victims when they arenot actually. At the press conference of the film the victim of well knownNisha case in Noida ‘Munish Dalaal’ and several other victims were present totake up a stand on the issue. Suhaib Ilyasi along with Farida Jalaal and thelead actress Srishti Gautam addressed the media for their film. All the men who arevictim of getting married to their wives were up for the issue.
