SALLU’S GIRL RESURFACES AS SONU’S ITEM

Hazel Keech who briefly went by the name Rose Dawn and went on to makeheadlines when Salman Khan offered her a role in Bodyguard (she’s the one who marriedhim in the 2011 blockbuster). Then, for some reason, she slipped into obliviononly to resurface in a very hot item number — Aa Aante Amalapuram, in KabirKaushik’s Maximum, starring Naseeruddin Shah and Sonu Sood.
Asked where she’s been hiding for the last 10 months, and Hazel says, “Therewere acting offers post Bodyguard, but nothing that I really liked. While I waswaiting, I was approached by Sonu Sood to do this item song. At first I washesitant, but when I heard the song, I loved it. I told Salman about the offerand he said, ‘Go ahead and do it just for the fun of it.’ That’s what I’vedone.”

The beauty from Essex, UK, says, “I’m a trained dancer and I have done popularmusic videos like Kahin Pe Nigahen in the past, but I’ve not thought of myselfas an item girl. Even while growing up in the UK, I followed Bollywood closelyand have admired Madhuri Dixit’s moves. I was dead against doing an item songjust for the sake of being provocative.”
According to her, the song is not only a viral craze but is also important tothe plot because it provides the required relief. “That’s why I’m in it!” shequips.
Aa AanteAmalapuram became a bone of contention between several superstars. One hearsSonu Sood paid a hefty price to get the rights.
The songis almost as big a craze as Kolaveri Di in the viral space and was supposed tobe picturised on Tabu, say sources.
