Bollywood has come a long way as far as boldness is concerned. The Indian audience has now accepted onscreen lip-locks as any other usual love scene and their perspective has completely changed.
Many films in Bollywood today include a titillating lip-lock scene which eventually turns out to be a hard task for our actors!
Well! it is learnt that Tanuj & Neha who will be seen in Joe Rajan’s Luv U Soniyo had to take 36 re-takes for a lip-lock scene which barely lasted lasted for 20-30 secs.
Before jumping into conclusions it wasn’t that they were not comfortable doing it, just that there was a blanket over them which had to fall off perfectly and the camera would focus on the two actors kissing.
But after several re-takes the blanket was not coming down perfectly, either it fell off too early and Tanuj, Neha were not ready, or it fell off too late, sometimes the light went off due to power cut, but finally the scene was done!
After many retakes the team finally got the right mode and the scene was cut!
When quizzed Joe Rajan about the series of re-takes he said, “ OMG! I cant imagine it took 36 re-takes to do that one small lip-lock scene, and it wasn’t even Tanuj or Neha’s fault because they were doing their part perfectly, it was the timing of the blanket which wasn’t falling in place. Finally we got done!
