Film & TV producer for over 14 years now, Anjum Rizvi produces yet another hard hitting film ‘John Day’
Anjum Rizvi, the brilliant & nationally acclaimed producer that he is, having produced sensitive & hard hitting films like A Wednesday, A Flat, Fast Forward, Ahista Ahista & Charas now brings yet another film ‘John Day’ starring Naseeruddin Shah, Randeep Hooda, Shernaz Patel, Vipin Sharma & Sharat Saxena, a film that will portray one’s discovery to its soul.
Anjum Rizvi’s carved an image for himself with his very first production, internationally acclaimed ‘A Mermaid Called Aida’, his very first unconventional best based on the life of a transsexual & after which he never looked back producing various movies along with TV Shows like Daayre, Ankhiyon ke Jharonkhon se, Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas.
Anjum Rizvi has always chosen quality content cinema, he mentions, “I produce films which may not have the commercial essence but will be remembered for its content, that’s exactly the kind of cinema I invest in. A Wednesday is still talked about; it did create an impact then & still does. It hits you hard, makes you think.”
Talking about his latest venture, John Day which has already created a buzz in the film circuit, Anjum Rizvi mentions not disclosing the plot though, “John Day will make you think, it’s a discovery to one’s soul, the choices one makes in life; Love, hate & forgiveness.” John Day’ an addition to producer par excellence Anjum Rizvi’s creation.
