Says Asit Kumarr Modi, “WWKBH is very popular in north where poetry is a way of life. We have had audience requests to shift timing to 9 PM because 10 becomes late to enjoy this kind of a show. Since viewer is the king, we fulfilled their wish.”
Upcoming episodes of the show WWKBH have a very interesting theme - 'Malwa v/s Delhi'. The participating poets hail from Malwa region of Madhya Pradesh and Delhi. These two groups belong to different cultures and different languages. These episodes will see the two sides competing with each other, but more importantly bringing in distinct flavours of their region...
The participating Kavis are Anil Agravanshi, Archana Anjum, Ashok Sharma, Suraj Rai Suraj and Dr. Variza in Chhupa Rustom from Roorkee, Uttarakhand.
Anil Agravanshi from Delhi recited a really funny on how flavour of the season, the Babas are apt at changing their statements like a true chameleon is really hilarious. .
"Ek Baba chala gaya ek ghar pe, wahan bachcha naya naya paida hua tha, Baba bola - "Bhai iski rekha bata rahi hai ki bade hoke, Jhansi ki Rani banegi!" Wo bola - "Arey Baba, ye to chhora hai".
Bola - "Maharana Pratap ban jayega!”
Anchored by Shailesh Lodha & Neha K. Mehta, ‘Waah Waah Kyaa Baat Hai’ is a humorous hourly weekend show.
The concept of the show is loosely based on the old tradition of `Haasya Kavi Sammelan’. Produced under the banner of `Neela Telefilms’ by Asit Kumarr Modi, the show is telecast every Saturday & Sunday at 9PM on SAB TV.
The program showcases many established poets tickling the funny bone of the viewers. Every week there is a theme such as Women, Children, Imagination, relationship, marriage to which participating poets base their creations. Another interesting segment is ‘Chhupa Rustom’ where unknown poets get to showcase their talents. But, the highlight of the show is the section that provides a platform for emerging poets called ‘Aam aadmi ki kavitayein’. “Today there is no platform to promote lyricists and poets. Writing and poetry are not given their due importance. Through this show we are trying to revive the interest in poetry, particularly in ‘hansya kavita’,” comments the producer Asit Kumarr Modi. Their other serial `Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ has completed more than 1000 episodes.
