VivekOberoibecomes a child himself with the pint-sized child
star
Rimmi Srivastav, the child actor who portraysRaavi on
BIG MAGIC, had a blast today as she got to do what most kids only dreamof doing
- hobnobbing with a Bollywood star. In a candid gup-shup, actor VivekOberoi was
seen matching wits with the little live wire!
Rimmi Srivastav, the little
girl playing Raavi, charmed one and all as she made VivekOberoi dance to her
tunes. As part of the fun and masti, 15 children, all 5 year olds, a mix of
boys and girls, were made to dress up as Raavi’s character. The challenge for
Vivek was to distinguish the girls from the boys and identify the correct
Raavi. What followed was a complete riot as Vivek sportingly played along.
Vivek and Raavi got along so well, that she also made the star wear a turban
just like her.
The actor, who is a part of
project DEVI (Development and Empowerment
of Vrindavan Girls' Initiative),also raised awareness about the cause close
to his heart – upliftment and empowerment of underprivileged girls.
Says Rimmi, “It was so much fun meeting Vivekuncle and
interacting with him.I enjoyed the afternoon with him and loved that he agreed
to wear the turban too.”
RAAVI is a light
entertainment show about a little girl called Raavi whose mother takes a
dramatic life decision to disguise her as a boy, due to peculiar circumstances.
While Raavi’s true identity is hidden, in the larger interest of safeguarding
villagers as well as her own family’s stakes, it initiates an extremely
interesting cat and mouse game cleverly handled by little Raavi who plays dual
roles skillfully.
Raavi is a
witty, quirky story of a girl who grows up disguised as a boy in a Punjabi
household, outwitting everyone and challenging society norms.
Tune in to Raavi every Monday-Friday at 7 pm to catch
the drama unfold only on BIG MAGIC!
