ON World HIV Day, MedscapeIndia in association with Aryan Education &
Medical Trust yet again come up with an initiative setting up a forum
discussing HIV Awareness & Eradication supported by the Entertainment
Industry.
Actress Nagma Morarji, MedscapeIndia Advisory – Social
Awareness will participate in the panel discussion with other panelists Dr.
Sunita Dube, Chairperson/ Radiologist, Dr. Neeraj Dube – Vice President/
Pathologist, Dr. Nandita Palshetkar – Gynecologist & IVF specialist, Dr.
D.G. Saple- Dermatologist/ HIV Expert, Dr. Mamatha Lala-Pediatrician/ HIV
Specialist.
A fashion show was organised which had doctors walk the ramp
along with the celebrities ,costumes and choreography was by designer khushi
sadry
Dr.Sunita Dube and
Dr.neeraj Dube walked the ramp and unveiled the trophy Big boss
contestant Vivek Mishra opened the show ,Vandana
sajnani looked gorgeous and walked along
him, Debina Banerjee and Gurmeet were the show stoppers and are on the
panel of
medscape India and are always supporting all activities of Dr.Sunita
Dube , Ashish
Sharma , Vishal Patni etc were present, Madhushree also performed and
walked
the ramp too,in an Indian outfit ,the show had an exciting mix of
doctors ,celebrities
and models this worlds aids day .
Guests in attendance were Amy Billimoria, Soketu Parikh, Hannah
khan, Aziz Zee , Shakir Shaikh, Rajesh khattar
South African consulate Mr Pule Malefane were present .

with their tagline ‘Janam Muje do AIDS ko Nahi’, the campaign volunteered by
Sanjeevani, HIV Positive to talk on how to protect unborn child from HIV
infected parents.

discussion,“HIV is a sensitive issue & it is very important for us to
educate people who have wrong connotations about the disease. This year we are
focusing on new strategy planning for treatment & prevention of HIV in
Children & Women.”
Focusing on their agenda Sunita enlightens us about the aim
of MedscapeIndia for AIDS Awareness & Eradication, “We want to Promote
HIV/AIDS awareness among young people and empower them to take action to fight
against HIV/AIDS influencing the Influence the policy-makers and key
stakeholders at national, state and district levels to influence the policy,
promote multi-sectoral response and increase government resources to fight
against HIV/AIDS.”
Sunita concludes, “Every woman, HIV or otherwise has the
right to have a child, the right to fulfill her dreams of motherhood. With
planning and good medical support, an HIV positive mother can still do so.”
