Nadaniyaan- Teen Nadaano Ki Kahaniyaanis
a remake of an old Pakistani sitcom with a little Indian tadka. Revolving
around the lives of a self-proclaimed writer, a push-over wife and a clumsy
younger brother; this show has its moments and certainly keeps one engaged.
The story is based on a Verma family
based in Delhi – a family of three featuring NamanVerma aka Nandu, his wife
Chandini and his brother PushkarVerma aka Pappu. Each with their own unique
perspective in life, they constantly land each other in reckless situations
with plenty of misunderstandings, crazy pranks and comic characters.
As a fan of popular Indian comedies like
Taarak Mehta and F.I.R, my expectations were high before watching Nadaniyaan.
However, this new show on the block doesn’t disappoint me one bit. With
traditional gimmicks, witty one-liners and a good sense of comic timing,
Nadaniyaan is a visual treat for the viewers. The characters have great
chemistry and it comes across on-screen as well.
Nadaniyaan focuses on highlighting the
humor in average, every day situations that anyone can connect with and laugh
over. The appeal of the show lies in its
simplicity. The writers have done a good job of showing how misunderstandings
can escalate from the smallest of things. I think most of you will identify
with these characters and the situations they land in. While some of the jokes
could have been more creative and better delivered, I think all in all, Nadaniyaan,
the latest show on the Indian comedy scene is one to watch.
Suitably aired at 10pm, Nadaniyaanhelps
one unwind after a long day.
