Gaurang is not 'doshi'!

In a landmark judgement about on living in relationships, noted Bollywood Producer Gaurang Doshi was finally proved innocent in a case filed by small time actress Flora Saini alias Mayuri and Asha Saini.
On February 15 2007, Saini filed a complaint on February 15 that said she had sustained injuries and a fractured jaw alleging that Doshi assaulted her.
Saini's contention in court was that since she was living in with Doshi and all those injuries were during the said period, she did not want prosecution, but a claim of Rs Rs 6.15 crores.
Doshi in the meantime has just arrived an out of court settlement with his estranged wife for Rs 2.5 crores.
The court ruled that since Saini was aware that Doshi was already married at the time she was his mistress, she was not at all eligible for compensation and her application was dismissed.
The court (Judge Mrs SC Jadhav) dismissed her contention that she was living in a relationship in the nature of marriage with Doshi and contended that she was not entitled for compensation as claimed by her. The said order in the Magistrate's Court by the judge Mrs Jadhav now says that Flora's application stands dismissed.
In court Doshi and his Advocate SS Gandhi however refuted all her claims and said that Saini was interested in making money from the producer.
This is not just Flora's claim to fame. Flora Saini who was arrested in a fake visa case and for human trafficking makes a comeback to Hindi films in January ironically with a film called Lakshmi which is about human trafficking and child prostitution.
Flora was arrested in Chennai on Tuesday, March 11, 2008 when she tried to get visa using forged documents at American Embassy. She had gone to American embassy along with her assistant Sri Latha (35) to obtain visa and the officials found that she was using forged documents. Police suspected that she was trying to take Sri Latha to USA with her. The officials found contradictory details on the documents and questioned them. However not convinced with the reply, they questioned the actress' agent Venkat Reddy and he too said to have given misleading details that prompted the Embassy officials to report to police. Following the complaint, the police arrested Asha Saini and the two others. The actress told the officials that she is leaving for USA for 'consulting some producers’ about a Telugu film. Chennai police headed by Deputy Commissioner Mourya, Assistant Commissioner Ravindran and Inspector Irudhayam are investigating the case. 29 year old Asha Saini’s real name is Flora and is popularly known as 'Lux Paapa' for her hit number in Narasinhanaidu. She had acted in many films in Telugu but never made it to the big league. She has also changed her screen name in 2008 to Mayuri.

The Madras High Court then gave her temporary retrieve and granted her conditional bail.
Flora allegedly obtained US visa by deceitful for her make-up woman. The embassy officials detected a fraud in the papers and took Flora into custody.  Justice K N Pasha passed the order on a petition by the starlet, asking her to furnish a personal bond of Rs 50,000 and two sureties of the same amount, including one from her mother.  The judge also ordered the actress to appear daily before the Royapettah police for interrogation.  The case had been registered under sections 468, 471 and 420 read with 511 IPC.
Meanwhile Saini’s entire life and career has been punctuated by multiple controversies and cases.
Saini also turned down a Pakistani film offer which also had 'Bol' fame Manzar Sehbai. Flora claims that she was offered 'French Colony' to be directed by Sarmad Sehbai and produced by IQ Studio (Pakistan) but the actress rejected the role with a weird reason.
“I was offered the lead role in 'French Colony' and actor Manzar Sehbai had approached me personally. But I have seen Pakistani actors come to India for work and when they go back, they talk bad and indecent things about Indians in their Press and Media,” was her refrain then.
Controversially in 2012 Flora was inducted into the Censor Board of Film Certification (CBFC) as a panel member.
