Shiv Darshan has pulled out all the stops for his Bollywood debut 'Karle Pyaar Karle', directed by Rajesh Pande. Besides working on his acting skills, the newcomer also did all the action scenes himself. Be it jumping over cars, lifting a goon and throwing him on a sheet of glass or suddenly halting a speeding bike to kiss his heroine, the debutant refused to use a body double.
Shiv says the scene in which he had to kiss his leading lady Hasleen Kaur (Miss India Earth 2011), was particularly tough. Says he, "I am not a biker, and this scene required me to ride fast and suddenly halt the bike in such a manner that its rear is lifted up. I had to kiss Hasleen, balancing the bike only on its front wheel."
He trained a lot for the stunt. "I had seen a biker in Bandra doing something similar. When I approached him, he agreed to train me." However, he was taken aback on the day of the shoot in Bangkok. "I had learnt the trick on a sports bike in India, but the same bike were unavailable there. Finally, I managed to do the shot on some other sports bike," he says.
Karle Pyaar Karle, produced by Suneel Darshan's Shree Krishna International, releases January 17.
