Kalpana Patowary an Assamese by birth, a stalwart in the annals of India’s cultural heritage was a part of the North East India Festival addressed by the Hon. Ministers of North Eastern States at the Taj Mahal Palace with other prominent artists belonging from the North East.
A sumptuous arrangement, a conviviality of music, fashion & food; North East India Festival that saw Kalpana Patowary (singer of chartbuster Gandi Baat) along with her other contemporaries from the North East.
The evening dedicated to India’s North East featured performances by Tetseo Sisters, Guru Rewben Mashangva, Zubeen Garg & Soulmate followed by an extravagant fashion show.
The internationally acclaimed folk & Bollywood singer, Kalpana Patowary is soon to release her magnum opus album ‘The Sacred Scriptures of Monikut’, a fusion of Naga & Assamese music with Guru Rewben Mashangva, Angaraag Mahanta (Papon) and Zubeen Garg.
When one thinks of Bhojpuri music world, be it film music or traditional non-film one, you have to take Kalpana Patowary’s name.Kalpana met up with Kalpana lajmi, Amy billimoria , Prashant sharma etc
