The European version of Dunno Y… Life Is A Moment
will premiere on 28th August at the prestigious Opera House of Oslo.
It is one of the top ten Opera Houses of the world. By screening it, The
Norwegian Opera & Ballet seeks to contribute to the international debate
concerning cultural politics and ongoing discussion concerning love
between people of the same sex. According
to Tor Fagerland (Producer / Multicultural Projects The Norwegian National Opera & Ballet) this film is a fearless, brave and generous
project that may create debate and reactions.
The film stars Zeenat Aman, Kapil Sharma,
Yuvraaj Parashar, Pakistani actresses Meera, Sadia Khan and Norwegian actresses
Tonje Gjevjon and Edith Roth Gjevjon. It is directed by Norwegian director
Tonje Gjevjon and Sanjay Sharma. Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar has sung the
title track. The film is in Hindi, English and Norwegian languages. It is
sequel to ten international award winners Dunno Y… Na Jaane Kyun.
Along with the international cast and crew
its lead actors Kapil Sharma and Yuvraaj Parashar will be walking the red
carpet. Kapil Sharma will be wearing a black colour Indian sherwani with
embroidery work. Yuvraaj Parashar will be performing Kathak on stage in the
live stage show From Dusk to dawn after the screening of the film. Yuvraaj in
past has performed Kathak at Switzerland, Greece, Alta (Norway), Italy and
Poland. There will also be live singing performances by Pakistani actress Sadia
Khan, popular Norwegian singer Gaute Ormåsen, lead singer of the Norwegian
sami band Adjágas Sara Marielle Gaup Beaska and the famous Pin-Up girls band
The Hungry Hearts. An Indian drag queen Nary Singh who is also acting in the
film will also be attending premiere wearing a traditional Indian outfit
inspired from Sridevi’s look in Chandini. Before the screening Anne Aasheim and Abid Q. Raja will
hold a speech. Anne Aasheim is the managing
director of the Arts Council
Norway. In past she was the acting
director of Norwegian Broadcasting, radio and TV
and later editor-in-chief of Norways biggest national newspaper. In 2014 she was by a unanimous jury selected
to be the woman in Norway with most cultural power.
The audience
will include some of the crème de la crème Norwegian celebrities like Oscar
nominated film Elling actor Per
Christian Ellefsen, renowned actor Nicolay
Lange-Nielsen, ellen award prize winner actress and filmmaker Iram Haq, veteran theatre actor Per Egil Aske, comedian and TV personality Linn Skåber, stand-up comedian, writer and
columnist Shabana Rehman Gaarder, Oscar nominated editor Inge Lise Langfeldt along
with prominent politicians like Abid
Q. Raja and Eskil Pedersen. In addition, Lene Løken who is the managing director
of Film & Kino, the organization for cinema and video industries in Norway
will attend the screening.
