Several Bollywood
film producers have welcomed the Uttar
Pradesh government’s new film and entertainment policy , which has offered to
increase the cash grant of Rs two crore to the production unit shooting at
least 50 per cent of its film in the state.
"The
film policy of the state has been made more attractive with the addition of new
features and will help build particularly Noida as hub for film makers .The
move will definitely attract Bollywood producers who, with their films, will
bring to the state employment opportunities” says Sachin Gupta, director
various films and international theatrical
shows, who is currently shooting his film “Thoda Lutf ,Thoda Ishq’ in various
towns of UP including Noida, Meerut and Etawah .
“Noida has all the features to become cinematic hub, you have the Expressway,
the plush buildings of umpteen offices, the Sector 18 market and so many other
such vibrant locations. I shot my second film in Noida, and for me, it was a
smooth experience.”said Sachin Gupta, Who will restart his film ’Thoda Lutf
Thoda Ishq’shooting in Meerut from December 5.
"Of late, the film fraternity is showing interest in Delhi-NCR, and many directors and producers are shooting their films here. I had shot my earlier film ‘Paranthe Wali Gali in the NCR region and even processing was done in Delhi. We hope the UP government's announcement brings more directors to the state. Getting clearances in Noida is easier as compared to anywhere else .”said Sachin Gupta.

Aanand L Rai, who recently finished
shooting the sequel to Tanu Weds Manu in Lucknow, welcoming the grant .

views were expressed by Eminent Director Sudhir Mishra who shot 80 % of his latest movie ‘Aur Devdas’ in Lucknow “We
have shot the film in most politically-active state UP and my shooting is
almost 80 per cent complete. I will shoot the final 20 per cent in Delhi from
next month, The move by UP governmentis fantastic” Sudhir said.
“With such
incentives, undoubtedly, many filmmakers will be attracted to shoot in UP and
it will in turn generate income and work for the people of the state." Said
