Continues to strengthen its portfolio in South
Eros International Media Limited (“Eros”), a leading global company in the Indian film entertainment industry announced its music label, Eros Music has acquired the audio rights of two upcoming Tamil releases – romantic comedy Maane Thaene Paeye (Tamil) and thriller Pencil (Tamil and Telugu). This follows the successful acquisition of Studio Green’s Darling and Tamiluku En Ondrai Aluthavum.
The sound track of N. Krishna’s Maane Thaene Paeye, starring Aari, Subhashree Ganguly and Daniel Balaji is composed by C. Sathya while debutant Mani Nagaraj’s Pencil starring G. V. Prakash Kumar and Sri Divya is composed by G.V. Prakash Kumar himself.
Speaking on the announcement, Deepak Bali, GM – Music Division, Eros International Media Ltd said, “With this acquisition, we look forward to strengthen our portfolio in the Tamil music market. Our foray with Kaththi, Lingaa and Darling has been successful and we are looking at leveraging our strength by releasing such exciting film albums. We are proud to associate with C. Sathya and are confident about the success of the super melodious compositions of Maane Thaene Paeye. G.V Prakash has composed great music for Pencil and we are sure that Pencil as an album will touch every youngster’s heart”.
With this announcement, Eros Music will retain, exploit and monetize the music rights of Maane Thaene Paeye and Pencil across physical and digital formats.
