This week Enrique realized a young Mexican student's dream of attending Berlklee University. In a press conference held for Miami's top media, Enrique confessed his desire to study music, and using this scholarship to give back to the fans that have shown so much love for the past 20 years.
Enrique Iglesias presented Silviana Itzel Salinas-Reyna a 23-year-old tenor saxophone student from Mexico City, as the recipient of the Enrique Iglesias Scholarship presented by The Latin GRAMMY Cultural Foundation®. Salinas-Reyna is set to commence her studies in fall 2015. Due to her lack of resources to finance the cost of tuition, she would not have been able to attend without the help of this scholarship co financed by the Latin GRAMMY Cultural Foundation and four time Grammy winner Enrique Iglesias, presented April 29 at an event held at the Ritz-Carlton in Miami Beach, Florida.
Since the begining of his career, Enrique has been a dominant force in the Billboard Charts worldwide with hits like Cuando Me Enamoro, El Perdedor, I like It, Noche y Dia, Do You Know, Bailando and El Perdon. He is the artist with most number one singles with 26 hits to date. Enrique beat his own record of "Most Number Ones on Billboard's Hot Latin Tracks Chart" with his Duet with Nicky Jam, "El Perdón", by seizing the #1 spot on the respective chart. The multi-platinum international superstar holds more number ones than any other international artist in history.
