Having locked horns with Sushmita Sen, Kangana Ranaut,
Anil Kapoor, Sunil Shetty and Paresh Rawal in action thriller No Problem, the
talented actress who has portrayed several interesting roles on screen with
great aplomb has since the past few weeks been gearing up to do high octane but
realistic shots in Ladaaku, touted as India’s first woman-oriented out-and-out
action flick.
The versatile actress has been leaving no stone unturned
to make it appear interesting on screen with a challenging transformation that
will surprise everyone.
If sources are to be believed, Ladaaku will have a
backdrop of martial art form Taekwondo and will see Neetu doing heavy-duty
action scenes, something which no Bollywood actress may have attempted on
screen before. But Neetu is not worried; she's a Fourth Dan Black Belt and has
represented India at the World Taekwondo Championships
A friend of hers says, “Neetu will be traveling to USA in
the first week of April for a month-long advanced rigorous training regimen for
her role and she will continue the same for two months in India once she is
back before she starts shooting for Ladaaku which will go on floors in August.
“The film will be shot in India with a major schedule in
Philippines. To top it all, a few Korean Taekwondo Masters will be specially
flying down by the end of this month to meet Neetu for making the action larger
than life with specially designed stunts that are Taekwondo-based,” Neetu’s
friend adds.
Neetu says, “I think it’s important for me to make my own
opportunities. That’s why this movie is the right move for me.”
