When Rekha Chaudhari was chosen as the Global Wellness
Ambassador of India by Global Wellness Organisation, which is represented in 95
countries ,it was a moment to rejoice. But more than that, Rekha Chaudhari, a
wellness entrepreneur who gives employment to over 10,000 women in the rural
sector, was acknowledged for her work by Devendra Fadnavis, Hon CM, Government
of Maharashtra.
Says Rekha Chaudhari, “It was a moment of great honour
for me. I have grown from being the quintessential Indian housewife from
Nandurbar, Maharashtra, over the last two and half decades, to be wellness
entrepreneur of repute with patents in
the last decade. And the title of Global Wellness Ambassador brings with it a
lot of responsibility. When our honourable CM lauded my effort, I felt very
touched. It is like your best moments are when your family appreciate your
efforts. This was one such moment.”
Says Devendra Fadnavis, Hon CM, Government of
Maharashtra, “Wellness has no geographical boundaries. Every state should
promote wellness. Wellness is also an industry which is progressing very fast.
And it is a 360 degree approach that people are embracing. In Maharashtra,
there is a huge scope for wellness, and when the Government, people and those
who are working in the wellness sector come together, we can promote wellness
very well.”
Expressing his happiness on Rekha Chaudhari’s selection
as Wellness Ambassador, he added that “Rekha Chaudhari has put in a lot of
energy and effort into spearheading the message of wellness for long. I am very
happy that this effort has been acknowledged. I wish her all the very best.”
