Nick Jonas’ highly-anticipated new album LAST YEAR WAS COMPLICATED, which was released June 10th on Safehouse/Island Records, has debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top Album Chart. The #1 debut marks the multi-platinum-selling artist’s highest ever solo album chart position.
LAST YEAR WAS COMPLICATED debuted at #1 on the iTunes albums chart shortly after release and topped the iTunes charts in over 20 countries. The album features Jonas’ current hit single “Close” Featuring Tove Lo which has earned 100 Million Views on VEVO, been RIAA certified Platinum, and is nearing top 5 at Top 40 radio. Jonas also took home the iHeartRadio International Artist of the Year Award at the recently conducted iHeartRadio Canada Music Video awards in Toronto.
The new album includes collaborations with Grammy Award-winning producer Max Martin (Taylor Swift, Ellie Goulding, The Weeknd), writer/producer Jason Evigan (“Chains”), and writers Nolan Lambroza and Simon Wilcox (“Jealous”), among others. LAST YEAR WAS COMPLICATED is available at all retailers now. Jonas will join his platinum-selling, chart-topping Safehouse Records/ Island Records partner Demi Lovato on their co-headlining “Honda Civic Tour: Future Now” which kicks off June 29th in the US.
