Prateik Babbar to play a gay character in his debut play ‘Six’

Prateik Babbar, who has been gearing up for his second innings in Bollywood, wants to tap the right projects coming his way.
In his quest for challenging roles, the talented actor will be seen playing a gay character as he’s all set to make his theatre debut.
Interestingly, Prateik will be seen in a play titled Six, based on A Midnight Clear by LB Hamilton revolving around two former gay lovers.
Prateik says, “I know it’s a bold choice but I wanted to portray this part. For me, it is about improving myself as an artiste.”
“Theatre is a different ball game. I feel this is a new journey for me as an actor, since on stage you only have one chance to get it right in front of the audience. There are no retakes,” he explains.
Sharing his experience of working on the play, he says, “I have been attending an acting course over the last nine months to understand the intricacies of the craft. It is my duty as an artiste to learn and explore more.”
“My confidence level is much higher. Now, I’m able to understand myself and my performance in a better way. I’m extremely passionate about this project and want to act in more plays. I’m loving this medium more and more by the day.”
