The talented kids of Sony Entertainment Television’s
dance reality show Super Dancer have impressed many guests from the Hindi film
fraternity, but it was a special moment when Ranbir Kapoor reached the set of
their show. Although the actor was stunned by all the performances, contestant
Asis Das and Ditya Bhande’s act took him down the memory lane. The kids
performed on the evergreen “Mera Joota Hai Japani” song from the film - Awara,
featuring his late grandfather Raj Kapoor.
Ranbir Kapoor could not resist his sentiments and
narrated an anecdote about the song. “It was an emotional moment for Ranbir as
he revealed that the song had been shot in the same studio and on the same
stage. He thanked everyone for recreating the unforgettable moment, admitting
that it made him feel the way those who would have seen his grandfather perform
must have felt... speechless,” added the source.
Kudos to Asish and Ditya for recreating the 1950’s era.
