Meghan Trainor has unveiled “I’m a
Lady,” her new song from the fully-animated feature film Smurfs: The Lost
Village.The Grammy-winning pop star dropped the sassy, girl power anthem
overnight. The accompanying music video will premiere next Friday, March 3rd
Trainor also announced that she will be voicing one of the new characters from
Smurfs: The Lost Village, Smurf Melody, in one of this year’s most awaited
animation feature films.
“I’m
so excited to be singing ‘I’m a Lady’ for this movie,” said Trainor. “It’s a song that I love and am very proud
of, and I can’t wait for the world to finally hear it! Getting to play a small
part in the film with my character, SmurfMelody, makes this all the more
exciting! So happy to be a part of the Smurfs family!!!”
In
this fully animated, fresh new take on the Smurfs, a mysterious map sets
Smurfette and her best friends Brainy, Clumsy and Hefty on an exciting and
thrilling race through the Forbidden Forest filled with magical creatures to
find a mysterious lost village before the evil wizard Gargamel does. Embarking on a roller-coaster journey full of
action and danger, the Smurfs are on a course that leads to the discovery of
the biggest secret in Smurf history!
Directed
by Kelly Asbury, the film is written by Stacey Harman and Pamela Ribon, based
on the characters and works of Peyo.

Lovato as Smurfette, Rainn Wilson as Gargamel, Joe Manganiello as Hefty Smurf,

as Smurf Storm, Ellie Kemper as Smurf Blossom, Ariel Winter as Smurf Lily, with
Mandy Patinkin as Papa Smurf and Julia Roberts as Smurf Willow.

The Lost Village is all set to release in India on 21st April,2017.
