Actress Daisey Ridely who charmed audiences in her
kickass stellar role as Rey in Star Wars: The Force Awakens is all set to
revisit her character in December's Star Wars: The Last Jedi. The actress has
slowly risen to be an empowered icon and will be seen performing her own stunts
and fighting the dark side in the latest Star Wars film.
When asked about the importance of being a female
hero Daisey opens up and says, "I like that I never questioned being a
heroic woman in a film, and that’s thanks to my upbringing. My mom’s always
worked; the women I grew up around always worked and were inspirational. Some
have family, some don’t. People just living their lives. So, it’s weird because
the way people reacted made me question more than I did. It’s a great role but
not just because she’s a woman. That’s how simple it was to me. But others were
like this is a big deal, clearly. But it’s exciting to be a part of that. And
I’m like, let’s continue. This is how it should be."
In Lucasfilm’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi, the

legends in an epic adventure that unlocks age-old mysteries of the Force and
shocking revelations of the past.
The film stars Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam
Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Andy Serkis,
Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Gwendoline Christie, Kelly Marie Tran, Laura
Dern and Benicio Del Toro.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi is written and directed
by Rian Johnson, releasing on 15th December 2017
