Actor Ankit Bathla, who was in Indonesia for a
while, enjoyed his stint there. In fact, the actor will be back there soon for
his next project too. The actor will be hosting a cookery show and is excited
for the same. "Indonesia has been a dream come true, I have lived every
actor dream for these 7 months thanks to &tv and great gratitude for the
producers of Thapki," he says, adding, "All my fans know that I love
to eat and make others eat too. In fact, my friends call me Annapurna so when
they offered me the show, I was super excited."
The show is different from other cookery shows.
"It’s not a regular cooking show. It's about friends chilling in the
kitchen so expect a lot of secrets to be revealed and of course lots of
fun," he says.
Talking more about the show, Ankit says, "The
name of the show has a story behind it. It's called Kit Aur Khana. My fans in
Indonesia call me Kit with love so that’s where the name comes from. We have
Jigyasa Singh, Aditi Bhatia, Mrunal Thakur among other guests. We were all
together in Indonesia and have become close friends. I’ll miss Mrunal Jain and
Shakti Arora on the show, maybe we can get them for season 2. It’s 5 episodes
in season 1 and producers still working on the dates of launch."
The show is being produced by an expert in
Bollywood and television. "Aruna Ji, the founder of Bollywood Inside
Indonesia magazine is the producer of the show. It’s a magazine giving great
insight on Bollywood and Telly wood in Indonesia," he says.
The actor has hosted shows before as well and has
always liked anchoring. "I started my career in Mumbai as an anchor for
corporate events. I have hosted a comedy show on Big Magic and also a televised
New Year’s Eve show," he says.
