In what is being talked about as one of the most comprehensive effort at
fighting and ending gender violence, leading singers of Bollywood - Armaan
Malik, Harshdeep Kaur, Salim-Sulaiman, Sukriti Kakkar and Akriti Kakkar will be
joining Farhan Akhtar to raise the ‘Lalkar’ against gender violence. This
concert will be held on November 21st, 2017 at the Bandra Amphitheatre in
Mumbai. The entry is open to all. Many
Bollywood celebrities are also expected to grace the occasion. This is part of
the ‘Bas Ab Bahut Ho Gaya (Enough is Enough!)’ campaign that was initiated by
the Population Foundation of India (PFI), well-known director Feroz Abbas Khan
and Farhan Akhtar’s MARD (Men Against Rape and Discrimination).Poonam
Muttreja, Executive Director, Population Foundation of India (PFI) adds,
"For a very long time, we have been talking about violence against women
and making policies and laws to prevent it. Though this was essential, now its
high time to execute those as well. And now we have India’s finest singers
on-board to take this message to the youth."
