Richa Chadha has never held herself back from
helping raise awareness for the right causes. She has always been vocal about
her thoughts, either through her social media or interviews. After her blog on
the #MeToo campaign went viral, she has now come forth to help with a
peacemaking initiate of the Indian Army. This initiative called ‘ Sadbhavana’
helps in creating an atmosphere of peace in the face of insurgency in Assam by
stressing on the education of the girl child. Members of the NGO also help
relocate people displaced due to insurgency and assist them with basic
necessities in their daily lives. As a part of the initiative, 20
school girls from Assam came to Mumbai to meet an inspirational figure in
Bollywood and the first person they chose was Richa Chadha. Richa agreed to
help them without hesitation. The actress spent time with the girls at an Army
Officers Institute in Mumbai to speak to them and share words of encouragement. When asked Richa she said, "I always love
interacting with people, I love people and I’m this case, the girls were so
innocent and hopeful about the future that it was a pleasure to spend time with
them"
