Amway recognizes Women Entrepreneurs, launches ‘Taking Wings!



Amway India, the country’s largest FMCG direct selling company, has launchedan illuminating compendiumtitled ‘Taking Wings: Chronicling the journey of Indian Women Entrepreneurs’ at arecently heldFICCI Ladies Organization (FLO) event in Mumbai.The event,organized with the support of Amway India,received participation from a large number of successful women entrepreneurs, serving as a platform for deliberating on the subject of having more women in the mainstream workforce, both in jobs as well as in the role ofentrepreneurs.

The compendium launched by Amway provides a riveting compilation of journeys of Indian women entrepreneurs from diverse backgrounds with the objective of recognizing micro-entrepreneurship through a range of articles and interviews with prominent thought leaders in this space. It also highlights the challenges that deter women from self-reliant entrepreneurship, identifies the opportunities that make women take the plunge, and offers significant insightsfor policy and decision making at a macro level to tap the entrepreneurial potential of women in the country.
