DAM999 Screenplay in Oscar Library

‘DAM999’ – the forthcoming movie from BizTV Network and directed by Sohan Roy is this year’s officially selected movie screenplay to be placed in the racks of Academy’s Library.
The Library of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences has added the screenplay of ‘DAM999’ as part of its Permanent Core Collection, which is accessible to students, film makers, writers, actors and others from the field of cinema for the purpose of research. ‘DAM999’ is about a corrupt mayor who builds a new dam for political gains and personal glory endangering millions of innocent lives; a mariner desperate to save his sister from evil; two not-so-young lovers challenging destiny in a bid to unite; a woman on a mission to win her family back; a little boy battling a deadly disease; a devoted wife wants to be with her husband even in death; and the astrologer who has foreseen their ominous fate - Nine lives entwined by the impending disaster. Take the journey of a lifetime - Nine characters, Nine moods and a crumbling dam of emotions.
It is a movie with a social cause on the hazards posed by dams and creates awareness among the masses about the impending dangers of a dam collapse, if not attended on time.
This multi starrer international venture has an ensemble cast starring Rajit Kapur, Joshua Fredric Smith, Linda Arsenio, Gary Richardson, Jaala Pickering, Ashish Vidyarthi, Vinay Rai, Vimala Raman, Megha Burman and Jineet Rath.
The movie will be released in three regional languages – Hindi, Tamil and Telugu along with English. Bipasha ready to lock lips with Emraan Hashmi

RAAZ 3 will mark the return of the original sex siren.
The dusky Bipasha Basu, who scorched the big screen with her smouldering oomph and glamour in movies like Raaz and Jism, is set to return with Raaz 3, which will see her at her sexiest best, claim insiders.
Bipasha starred in Raaz way back in 2002 opposite her then-beau Dino Morea.
The movie was a surprise hit at the box office and she managed to get a foothold in the industry.
After Raaz she again teamed up with the Bhatt family for another thriller Jism.
Now, she returns for part 3 of Raaz, to be directed by Vikram Bhatt. The movie will see her paired opposite Emraan Hashmi, the serial kisser of Bollywood.
So the obvious question: Is Bipasha ready to lock lips with Emraan?
“As a professional, I have no problems with such a scene if a storyline absolutely demands it,” said Bipasha. However, she admitted she was not comfortable, while kissing onscreen.
“Kissing is the first expression of affection for human beings, so it’s actually no big deal. But still, I get all anxious before kissing scenes.” She, however, said kissing her beau John Abraham in Jism did not make her nervous as he was her boyfriend.
But when it comes to other co-stars she develops cold feet. However, Bipasha has puckered up with many of her co-actors like Ranbir Kapoor and has shot for steamy scenes with Saif Ali Khan and Rana Daggubati. - The Post

Amanda Seyfried is porn star ???

Amanda Seyfried is going from ''In Time'' to “Deep Throat.''
The actress has been cast to play the lead role in the porn-star biopic “Lovelace,'' TheWrap has confirmed. The deal, however, is not yet closed.
Peter Sarsgaard is in talks to play Linda Lovelace's coercive husband, the pornographer Chuck Traynor.
Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman (''The Celluloid Closet'') are directing a script by W. Merritt Johnson and Andy Bellin. The script is based on “The Complete Linda Lovelace,'' a book by Eric Danville.
Avi Lerner, Heidi Jo Markel and Laura Rister are producing the movie, which is scheduled to begin production in January.
Kate Hudson was offered the “Lovelace'' role before she became pregnant. James Franco, who starred in Epstein and Friedman's “Howl,'' also had been attached.
Lovelace is best known for the 1972 porn film “Deep Throat.''
The Seyfried movie is one of two Lovelace projects now under way.
The writer-director Matthew Wilder is developing “Ordeal,'' based on Lovelace's autobiography. Malin Akerman is set to star in that movie. - Reuters

INTERVIEW- Candice Boucher

Durban-born model Candice Boucher has launched her acting career with her first major role in the Bollywood espionage thriller, Azaan.
From model to actress, the transformation has been rather fast for you. How did you adapt to this and get to grips with starring in a Bollywood film?
It has been quite a journey. I have known director Prashant Chadha for a very long time and have worked with him on different projects. He thought the part would be perfect for me because the script required a Moroccan-European-looking girl. He called me while I was in New York and asked me if I would like to be a part of it and I absolutely said: “Yes.”
Before Azaan came along, were you ever exposed to Bollywood movies and if so, what did you think of them?
I grew up being exposed to them, especially coming from Durban with such a big Indian population. It’s one of those things you never think is going to happen to you because I never really plan for things to happen. It’s been an honour to be a part of an industry such as Bollywood.
How did the movie role happen and why did you agree to do it?
I just thought it would be perfect for me. Prashant scripted it around my personality as he got to know me. He knows me pretty well. I connected with it from there and it has been a good learning experience on set.
Did you have to do any extra work or research to ensure a proper portrayal of your character?
Definitely. I play a sand artist so we had a professional artiste flown in to help me out. She sat with me for days on end, teaching me the art of drawing properly. So I have a newfound respect for an art which is so hard to get a grasp of, but is really beautiful to watch.
How do you rate your first Bollywood experience and are you excited to watch yourself on screen?
I am so nervous to watch the final product. I have had the opportunity to watch the raw footage, but declined it because I want to watch it at the premiere with the audience. I hope I come across convincingly.
Lots of young girls have their hearts set on becoming a big movie star one day. You have done it. What is your advice to them?
It’s one of those things you never think is obtainable. We often get left out of things in South Africa, but obviously things are changing with so many movie shoots happening in our country, especially in Cape Town where the movie market is definitely getting better and better. Any girl trying to do this should just go with the opportunity they get and never give up.
Are you a rugby fan and are you following the Springboks during the World Cup?
Yes, of course. I’ve always supported the Boks and try to catch with their games wherever I am.
What’s next for you? Surely you don’t want to end this movie experience right now?
It’s still overwhelming for me. I’m waiting to see the final product. So I’m taking it day by day and just being grateful for the opportunities I have. Let’s see what happens next.
