Bhaumik, who hastrained for dance under Ganesh Aacharya and has learnt acting from KawalSharma’s acting academy & Kishore Namit Kapoor, has done many ads andcommercials for top brands like Britannia, Cadbury Éclairs, Reliance, DaburVatika etc. in conversation:
Q: Tell about your journey in Acting?
Bhaumik Sampat: - Istarted my career in 2000 from Ad films. Initial stages I was always doing groupads because at that time I didn’t know how to become a lead. Everyone wasmisguiding me. I didn’t have any one from this industry to lead me in rightdirection. So I believed everybody. When I was in school that time I used toparticipate in each and every competition related to acting. And my performancewas good. So I knew that I had some potential and I can explore it in films. WhenI got the chance for Cine star kee khoj,I kept giving auditions after auditions and eventually reached to be 2ndrunner-up.
Q: how was your experience during Cinestar Ki khoj?
Bhaumik Sampat:-2004-05was the best time for me. Everything went off in my favor. There were so manypeople who had come from all over India to participate but I got a position. Ialso won India’s best dare award. Ihad reached a level in life and people were recognizing me. They were evenasking me for photographs and autographs. It felt so nice.
Q: From Cine-star most of the winners have goneto the television industry? Why you chose film?
Bhaumik Sampat:- Thisis my personnel choice. I did get television offers but life in television isextremely demanding. You are not left with nay personal life. One lands upworking even on bank holidays. And then I got the offer of Sadda Adda. It is agood film. I am neither a Khan nor a Kapoor. So for me this is a very gooddebut film. I have to prove myself to get bigger projects.
Q: How did you got this project? Share something about yourDebut film?
Bhaumik Sampat : Igot this film because of Gnaesh Acharya ji. I will give him 100% credit forthis. He had given me the introduction. But then I had to go through theregular rigmarole of auditions. I gave 4 auditions for 3 characters. It is mymisfortune that he is not connected to this film on professional level.
Q: Any funny incident during your shoot?
Bhaumik Sampat: Shootitself was fun but it was not funny. We were six guys and had such dhamaal timeon location. Our cinematographer Harvey was a foregimer and did not know Hindi. We used to teach him wrong Hindi and he would innocently use it too. that usedto be so funny.
Q: Currently on which projects are you working?
Bhaumik Sampat:- I mwaiting for other film offers to come. In the meantime I have opened my showroomSparkling Carz where I am remodelingand customizing them. This is my passion and I am enjoying it.
Q: If you are not in the film acting profession, then whatyou could have done?
Bhaumik Sampat:- Ishared the dream of millions of Indians. Since childhood, I wanted to be acricketer. I used to play at Hindu Gymkhana. Used to participate in tournamentsalso. But it remained only a dream.

Paparattzy Productions' ENEMMY: Bonding amidst mayhem

What happens when an investigating agency is thrown into the thick of dirty politics on one side and the ruthless underworld on the other? It brings out the best in the team that tries to investigate the ensuing mayhem. It also helps the members of the team bond big time and become even better as a team. And that is precisely what Paparattzi Productions’ forthcoming film, ENEMMY, directed by Ashuu Trikha focuses on.
The film, whose Muhurat took place at Versova village and Madh Island on November 10, appears to be a slice of real life in our troubled times. The filthy political manoeuvres, the use of muscle power, the huge political clout enjoyed by underworld dons and the difficulties faced by investigating agencies as a result of all this remind you of a world not so distant.
ENEMMY revolves around Eklavya Karmarkar aka Bhau {Suniel Shetty}, Naeem Shaikh {KK Menon}, Eric Collaco {Johnny Lever} and Madhav Sinha  aka Maddy {Mahaakshay}, four daredevil CID officers, who can be relied upon whenever the city faces problems from the underworld,  a don responsible for mayhem -- Mukhtar Menon (Mahesh Manjrekar)  and  one CBI officer Yugantar Sharma (Mithun Chakraborty).
The city is besieged by the underworld with gang wars. It is election time and the ruling party in Maharashtra, the People’s Working Party is also the ruling the centre. The lawlessness in the city has already ruined the party’s credibility. And now, elections are to be held in Jharkhand, where this party’s ambitious leader Ram Govardhan (RG), touted to be the next  PM, simply cannot afford to ruin his chances due to his party’s failure in another state. RG is a young ambitious politician, whose looks and charming persona make headlines as much as his political ambitions. He simply has to win this situation to reinstate the confidence of the masses in his party and he will not rest.
RG asks the Maharashtra chief minister to reign in the underworld. And the latter in turn, gives the job to the four protagonists. The investigation by this team eventually leads to some stunning revelations.
“ENEMMY is a commercial action thriller that dwells on the emotional bonding of the people in the force. It is about how they learn from each other, how they support each other, work together as one unit and look up to each other,” says Ashuu Trikha. “In an evolved relationship, one doesn’t even need to say certain things. Just one look is enough for the other person to understand. That is the kind of relationship that I’ve tried to portray within this team. I believe that a team can perform as a single unit only when the personal bonding is at this level,” he adds.
The cast of the film seems interesting. While Mithun Da, Suniel Shetty, KK Menon and Mahesh Manjrekar are past masters at such roles and Mahaakshay, is expected to perform some great action scenes, what is interesting is the choice of Johnny Lever as one of the officers. “Johnny Lever can be quite intense when he has to. It this is aspect of his that I’ve tried to explore,” Ashuu Trikha says. So one can expect more than one revelation from ENEMMY!
