Aishwarya Rai Bachchan ranked 2nd in the top 20 most popular brand ambassador​s worldwide

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has ranked second in the top 20 most popular brand ambassadors worldwide, according to a recent survey. The study was conducted by WorldWatchReport, a leading international marketing research company in the luxury watch industry.
Ace golf player Tiger Woods, brand ambassador of Tag Heuer watches, tops the list with 16.2 per cent, while Aishwarya bagged 9.00 per cent votes for being the brand ambassador of Longines watches. The other Indians on the list are cricketer Sachin Tendulkar(3.3%) and actor Preity Zinta(1.7%( in ninth and fifteenth place respectively).

Rajesh Mapuskar and Vidya Balan insist on having the first screening with authentic dancers to see their reaction of the Song

We all are very much aware of the fact that Vidya would be performingher first item number in the movie Farrari Ki Sawari directed by RajeshMapuskar. The song “mala jao dya na ghari” has already managed to make theaudience go crazy and fanatical. It is a proper authentic lavani song. And ifsources are to be believed vidya herself is taking a keen interest for anaccurate execution of this song. The result however is fantastic. 
Besides Vidya is taking personal interest and workingtowards perfection. From the sari to the accessories to the dance steps, sherefuses to compromise on anything. Also vidya spent over three weeks rehearsingthe dance step with the troupe from Kolhapur.With such hard work put up from vidya, Rajesh Mapuskar is extremely satisfiedwith the outcome.  
Even though the result is equal to perfection Rajesh Mapuskarand Vidya Balan insist on having the first screening with authentic dancers tosee their reaction. It was hence a co-operative decision taken by the team toshow it to a group of lavani dancers.
Rajesh and Vidya both are looking into the minutest of thedetails and are refuting to negotiate on authenticity. 
However it’s for the first time where the screening will beshown to a group of dancers. Also they are sure that they would receive honestfeedback. Rajesh Mapuskar confirms, "We want the song to look purely authentic, although we are in talks with a bunch of Lavani dancers from Kolhapur for the first test screening".

Priyanka Chopra now joins 100 cr Club!

While there has been much talk on the big boys of bollywood getting into to the much coveted 100 crore club, there has been little talk of the female 100 crore club of Bollywood.  It becomes relevant in the light of the fact that  off late it has become evident that girls of bollywood are adding to the commercial value of a film like never before.
A look at the female 100 crore club throws an interesting landscape. Kareena Kapoor leads with 4 hundred crore films ( 3 idiots, bodyguard, golmal 3 and Ra.One), Priyanka Chopra is closing in on Kareena with two back to back 100 crore plus films ( don 2 and Agneepath). Katrina and Deepika Padukone, though in the top league of heroines are absent from the club.
There are other heroines who are relatively less serious players in the Bollywood hierarchy but are present in the club. Asin and Kajal Agrawal are the two of them.
100 crore has become a definition of widespread success in the business and has emerged recently a measuring parameter of sorts.
While conventionally it’s the guys who take ownership of commercial success but slowly success is also being attributed to girls.
Advertisers and Brand managers are also keeping a tab on the hundred core club. Kareena’s brand value showed a jump after being part of 100 crore films.
Now Priyanka with her back to back biggies has registered a strong presence in the 100 crore club. For advertisers it means wide reach and a certain mass of people consuming the celebrity.

Bhaag Milkha Bhaag commences shoot on March 9

India's biggest biopic Bhaag Milkha Bhaag is all set to go on floors. Announced with much fanfare, Prasoon Joshi and Rakyesh Omprakash Mehra have been working on the script for almost a year.  
Only once everyone has been extremely happy with the outcome they have decided to go on floors.  
Rakyesh Omprakash Mehra has choosen the quant town of Firozpur in Punjab to commence shooting. Starting after the auspicious Holi day, there was a lot of speculation on the location of shooting the film.  
Rakyesh and his team has been searching for a perfect location to start shooting and after visiting almost all towns of Punjab they have shortlisted Firozpur. Firozpur has the perfect typography and colours that the art direction team was looking into. 
Firozpur as a corridor in Indian history has been an important town and would play a significant character in the film. Its culture and historial back ground adds to the scenes of the film.  
Milkha Singh is very excited that Farhan Akhtar would play the title role and is being shot in Punjab.
