Shreyas is Nana's son-in-law!

Shreyas Talpade and Nana Patekar bond on the sets of Priyadarshan's comic caper Kamaal Dhamaal Malamaal. So much so that Nana's pranks on the sets of this Percept Pictures' venture, are taken for real by those on the sets. When someone quizzed Nana on his dosti with Sheyas, Nana explained to him that "I have seen Shreyas when he was in the cradle. I know his dad well and I have cradled him as a baby in my own arms."
Shreyas admits that Nana is Nana kaka to him. "There is so much to learn."

Methinks that he needs to look for Nana's tips on his unique sense of humour, for the next prank Nana played on another unsuspecting person was calling Shreyas his son-in-law. "His wife Deepti is my daughter. And I am looking forward to her coming soon on the sets," he said.
While Shreyas preferred to grin and go with Nana's joke, the person seriously went on to enquire with Shreyas, how long were he and Deepti married. "Seven years," replied Shreyas. And now, the onlooker raved about how Nana did not look like he was the father of Shreyas' wife and how he maintained himself. "It is hilarious," confesses Shreyas. "Nana's sense of timing is so natural that no one ever suspects his pranks that he pulls it off with a straight face. One can learn so much from him."

KRRISH 3's ADULT CRUSH

In the new installment of the Krrish series, Hrithik Roshan will not just fight the bad guys. He will also fight himself.
A source reveals that the new film will be the darkest in the series, and has a violent twist. While the first two movies catered primarily to kids, Krrish 3 will be made for an adult audience. Taking a cue from the last Spiderman film, where Peter Parker surrenders to the dark force, Krrish too will be seen battling his inner demons. This track will be one of the film’s highlights.
Apart from his personal struggle, there will also be other interesting elements. The source adds, ''Kangana Ranaut plays an alien, and she will have an army of animals who will create havoc in Krrish’s life. Her character will be a total badass, and major action scenes are planned between Krrish and her.
While Koi Mil Gaya had the friendly alien character Jadoo to provide comic relief and had four kids, they are all missing from the third installment. The source adds that director Rakesh Roshan “wants to focus on action scenes and bring out the violent streak in the protagonist. There will be blood and gore.”
The buzz is that the series has moved away from the usual formula to give the film an edge over other superhero flicks like RA.One, which dazzled the audience with its state-of-the-art special effects.

More than the action, Kangs is busy concentrating on her looks, as its her superwoman looks that will grab more eyes. If buzz is to be believed, the actress will look something like Angelina Jolie’s sexy Lara Croft avatar.
Kangana is busy training in martial arts and kick boxing as she will be doing all the stunts by herself. The film also stars Hrithik Roshan as the superhero. Vivek Oberoi will be seen in a pivotal role.

Vivek Oberoi – The villain with superpowers
Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi is known more for various controversies he got involved in than his performances in films. After his promising debut, none of his later films managed to make any mark. Vivek is keeping a low-profile these days, with only news about his philanthropy and religious activities appearing in media. With no chances of making it big as a hero, Vivek Oberoi is now open to lesser roles as well. As a first step Vivek agreed to be the villain with super powers named ‘Kaal’ in the sequel of the hit ‘Krrish’ opposite Hrithik Roshan.
Vivek, who is desperate to make an impact on Bollywood for a while is now doing his own stunts in the film that will see him share some high-voltage action sequences with the lead hero, Hrithik Roshan.
These days Vivek is working overtime at the gym to get a toned body for the super villain, Kaal. He has been following a strict diet and has been busy with trial costume sessions for that perfect get-up.
We are yet to have a proper sci-fi villain in Hindi cinema if only because of the fact that Bollywood is still only waking up to the genre. Recently Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Ra.One’ in which Arjun Rampal’s played the villain Ra.One and SRK as the good super hero G.One, did not make an impact among audience. Although it did well financially, thanks to SRK’s great fan following and with heavy marketing techniques, the super-heroes were a disappointment for the audience, so it remains to be seen how well Vivek convinces us as a supernatural bad guy. Vivek’s Kaal is a villain who has a sense of humour. Hopefully not a mimic of Joker.

CHARACTER SKETCHES
DJ Rahul - A disc jockey whose attire and attitude come in the way of his prospective father-in-law's obsession with Hindustaniyat. But a chilled out bloke, he believes that Hindustaniyat is not about wearing a dhoti kurta or not wearing jeans. "Insaan ka dil hindustani hona chaiye" he says and has this to add about his father-in-law, "Love ki Recipe mein ek tikhi mirchi bhi to honi chaiye..."
Tia - Rahul's love interest. Bubbly, fun-loving still very kiddish, but at times shows a maturity way beyond her years. This maturity comes in handy for sure when the recipe of her love is at boiling point.
Pappu Bhaiyya - Tia's elder brother, a heart surgeon whose own heart goes out to an Italian girl called Roza but surely misses a beat whenever he is reminded of his father's Hindustaniyat.
Roza - Her love for Pappu Bhaiyya seems to her like a recipe gone wrong as all her attempts to prove to her father-in-law that she is as Indian as an Italian can ever strive to be seem to be losing steam.
Anthony - "oooo%%xxx **** & ^^^^: :: ;;;+++====" thats literally how his speech sounds and any effort to understand what he is saying is nothing short of hilarious. He remains the unexplained ingredient in this Love Recipe
Sunil - Tia's elder brother, a jilted lover who has donned the avatar of a maverick shayar and who eats, drinks and breathes Mirza Ghalib.
Pratap Singh - A retired I.G. of Police who has got bored of the British tradition he has been so used to and is now all for Bhartiya Sabhyata and Hindustani Tehzeeb which is taken so far as to become a conflict in his daughter's love story.
Kaushalya - Pratap Singh's wife constantly glued to the television and watches news as any other woman would watch a daily soap. It is her strange addiction to the idiot box that keeps one abreast of the latest news regarding the terrorists.
Music Ali - The singing terrorist who creates terror in peoples' hearts by his bombings and terror attacks but is himself immersed in old Hindi film melodies which he calmly croons as he announces his terror plans.
Carlos Randall - The head in question. Becomes the object of desire after it is accidentally severed in a freaky incident. It carries a reward of Rs. 50, 00, 000, 000/- . So virtually its his head that rules every heart in the film.
Govind Dhaimade - A sub inspector who dreams of catching Carlos Randall alive and winning the reward of fifty crores to impress his lady love. With all his antics and buffonery he can be perhaps rated as the 140th cyclostyle copy of superstar Rajnikanth.
Shilpa Venkatswamy Iyengar - A senior inspector and Govind Dhaimade's love interest and a die-hard Rajnikanth fan. Her hero worship has attained the strangest of heights. So much so that a picture of Rajnikanth adorns the wall of her cabin.
Shivanand Kher - Rahul's father who lives in New York but is perhaps more Hindustani than Pratap Singh whose Hindustaniyat according to Kher is nothing but a facade behind which even the likes of our netas hide. Kher is the one who gives the lovers in the film the catch phrase ;"Love aisi Recipe hai jo banne ke baad pakti hai"
DIRECTOR'S NOTE :
"Comedy is like a soft rubber ball which bounces off best when hit against the hard wall of reality." - Mel Brooks. - So true. I never had imagined that story which adheres to this thought will ever come my way. Well it did eventually in the form of 'LOVE RECIPE'. Here the hard wall of reality is the menace of terrorism that has become an evil in today's society. Try as you might there is no escaping it. The soft rubber ball is the severed head of the terrorist which is the prize catch for the characters in the film. The challenge was to set the film against this realistic backdrop of hate and make love win in the end while doing it all in a lighter vein. I think we as a team have managed to pull it off quite well. The film also rewrites some old adages as the hero DJ Rahul conveys his firm belief that being Indian is all about being so from the heart and not about creating a facade of Indianness. I love this film because it is seemingly meaningless yet wrought with meaning. It is mad, crazy, funny and I feel the recipe's just right.
